  • Hey look what the met office page you linked to has to say!

"We have recently changed the way that the smoothed time series of data were calculated. Data for 2008 were being used in the smoothing process as if they represented an accurate esimate of the year as a whole. This is not the case and owing to the unusually cool global average temperature in January 2008, it looked as though smoothed global average temperatures had dropped markedly in recent years, which is misleading. "

    wow!

  • Look at my "2009: 11 years of no global warming" vid. The Non-warming HAS continued. Note: to debunk warmist catastrophism, it is not neccessary to prove cooling.

  • The point is the site you link to specifically says it's misleading to draw the conclusions you're drawing from that data.

I looked at your other vid, had a feeling it was going to be 'hey 1997/1998 was real warm so until we reach that temperature again it must be cooling!' - wasn't disappointed! It's like a growing business having a great year with record profits, then back to more modest profits and steady growth from then on, and you saying 'they've been losing money since 1998!'

  • The "steady growth" you refer to is not unprecedented in either scale or rate, and does not match the catastrophist predictions of +5 deg C/century, which would mean 0.5 deg C/decade.

  • This video is retarded.

Compare the 10 years given at the start of this with the data of the previous 90 years from the same hadcrut3 series- there is a real obvious rise in temperatures. This tit is trying to scam you.

Elsewhere on the denialosphere these same clowns are screaming that a 150 years sample is too short to draw any conclusions from. These idiots just make it up as they go along...

  • Yes, there has been a rise over the 20th century. About 0.6 deg C. Not unprecedented in either scale or rate, and certainly not evidence that we are are "on track for" a "catastrophic" 5 degC this century. Furthermore, none of the computer models predicted the post-1998 non-warming. So whatever caused it, it isn't included in the computer models.

  • Seve - have you got another video planned to launch us into 2009?

You can update us on the temperature trends and whether there is any advance in NZ plans to go nuclear. Oh yes, and whether there is any correlation between the two!

  • Can donate money to a fund for getting that plant built ?

  • Excellent video again SteveWrathall.

  • What petition can I sign to get this nuclear plant built? :)
