I read somewhere about you bringing a whole bunch of heavy winter clothing to Vancouver in February 2010 because you thought it would be really cold. I'm guessing you thought it would be colder than places like Minneapolis, Chicago, etc. I guess you weren't aware of Vancouver's mild winter climate. Were you caught by surprise?

Your surprise at Vancouver mild winter weather isn't as meaningful (being from California) unless you've traveled to cold places in the winter. If you've been to the midwest, upper midwest, and/or norheast, then you know what true winter is all about. If Vancouver is the only place you've been in winter outside of California, you might incorrectly believe everywhere up north to be something like Vancouver and u definitely have yet to experience winter? I hope you know better?
