  • Very nice project. How fast were you guys going at the end of the second test drive? Any improvement after 2 years?

  • what a buch of retard

  • what made u do this?

  • @xxnissansilviaxx

Make an electric car or destroy a Del Sol?

We chose the Del Sol because its perfect for an electric conversion, small, light, and it has a manual steering rack (an absolute bitch to replace if powered by the engine). We got it for $300 cause the engine was shot, barely drove.

  • @MstrJames o oke then

  • If you had better gear ratios do you think it could go faster? Ive been debating on turning a trans around in reverse (driven by the output shaft, spun backwards) for a better gear ratio, and with a 5spd, youde have a .82 1st which i think would work ok depending on your motor (which you didnt show a good shot of :-(

  • nooo not to a del sol!!

  • Incredible!!! thumbs up!

  • How much did the car cost bro??? before you did the mod

  • $300! Engine burned oil like mad, but it still drove! 257K on it though...

  • dude even the birds are telling u this car is a piece of shit u didnt catch on to that?

  • @AllOutMugen

no, the birds certainly apreciate this, especially their lungs...

  • nice car but whats it moving at like 10mph and what are the upgrades gonna be?

  • James, What is that constant buzzing sound? If it's the electric vacuum pump, it seems to run for a long time. Ric.

  • Haha hit the nail on the head!

That is the vacuum pump - we don't have an automatic shut off right now (no valve) so its just running constantly. First test drive we forgot to even plug it in!

  • Lookin good James!

You gonna pimp it out? Like the exterior design?

  • of course! (its missing the front bumper if you didn't notice.

  • what's the max speed you'll were able to reach?

  • Not too sure the speedometer is broken. We're thinking it'll do 80-90km/h fine. Today we started mounting components properly, the batteries are in the trunk now and we'll have a passenger seat again haha

  • sweet

  • Nice

  • ah

    well done

  • hahaha sick
