  • This makes me happy, nicely done! :)

  • Nice song choice, Rollo is all about the drumming. Good stuff dude.

  • Good job :)

    Old School rules :)

  • Awesome job...lol yea I thought you were left handed too...

  • As I know this is the only Stanier-made song, great one!

  • this is my FAVORITE helmet song. badass

  • Are you left handed?

  • Filmed through mirror :)

  • This is really really really good.Added in my favourites months ago, but gets better and better every time I listen to it.

  • R U in in a band or just play for fun?

  • holy shit

  • good job bro! classic song!

  • It's too much fun for one person.

  • Thanks

  • Nice job! One of my favourite Helmet songs this. Engoci asked about the snare, Stanier doesnt use a Piccolo snare he just tightens up the snare drum erm very tightly.

  • Hey, very nice there! I also always thought that this was a good one to play.

Just two questions: (1) you don't have a piccolo snare: how do you get the same sound as Stanier? (2) are you sure that just playing the ride gets the same sound that Stanier takes from his cymbal?

    I repeat, good job, man!

  • Most of John's snare sound is there. I just overlay my sound over the top and compress. I'll get back to you on the second question.

  • @engoci Yeah I think so. I've been watching this video over and over. And I remember now that the ride just happens in the middle of the song some where on a cymbal. I'm just happy I remembered to go to the ride.

I use is a 22 inch sabian hh something or other. It breaks really really well on the edges. I've found it's been a very active cymbal. In the Milquetoast video I do a similar deal when hi hat turns into a crashing ride. Helmet is always fine in my mind.

  • I use 22 inch Sabian HH ride in this song. It cracks early, and I like that.

  • nice...nice! NICE...NICE! N*I*C*E*!!!!!! (^_^)

  • Yeah that rocks - many difficult breaks, good grove allthough!

    Very good work! 5 again

  • Rock out, man!!

  • Ditto. Sick man. Nice.

  • i always thaught this would be well tricky to paly ont eh drums,,, by teh looks of it your pretty feckin good! keep teh helmet comin man!

  • Thanks, I will. Soon I'll post new material inside of more material. Takes me awhile.

  • sick dude. i too love ripping it up to rollo
