  • "americans don't understand irony"? uhh everyone understands irony. Typical British arrogance, confusing discovery with invention.

  • Americans can't produce irony? Two words: Mark Twain

  • Terrence was MI5

  • Im suprised that they dont mention sir william stephenson.ian fleming himself said that william stephenson was the original inspiration for bond.

  • I must say that Maud Adams was still looking pretty good at the time this was filmed. She must have been then in her mid fifties!

  • Ian Fleming was a agent though??

  • @Cokecakepopcorn yes he did some intelligence work for MI5 in the 1940's and early 50's which gave the idea of James Bond.

  • @Docmate Yeah:S it says all this in his book, so why does it not say it in this doc?

  • @Cokecakepopcorn Don't know ask the Producers to be honest its not the most accurate doc on James Bond just talks more about the films than the author.

  • At the end of this video, the part that Brosnan/Bond was falling faster than the plane to catch up with it to get in it,....is that even realistic? Is that even possible?

  • @McCaler deffinatly, the planes wings still give it some lift causing it to fall much slower than a person with no lift

  • Hopefully you don't mind me asking you this, is that information factual? I just would like to know, that's all. :)

  • Thats why its called fantasy!

  • Uh...no. :)

  • No its not!

  • I read the books once, beginning of my freshmen year of high school, but they weren't nearly as fun and exciting as the movies I grew up with! They were actually pretty slow and didn't have a lot of action, but were still just as unbelievable as ever. Have to give the books some credit though; they did start an unbelievable franchise!

  • I think that the version of M from the novels is much more based on Fleming. There's actually a guide book to Bond written by O.F. Schnelling called 007: A Report (1st pub. in '64, IIRC.) that goes into this theory in some detail. Both Fleming & M wore bow ties, they were both in the RNVR, they were both chauffered around in Rolls limos, etc.

  • he was a really interesting guy, Ian Fleming, by all accounts, i wonder what he was like as a friend.

    thankyou for posting this :-)

  • Thanks for putting this on YouTube :D
