i think we can all agree pamela is the best. hands down because 1.- she has an auto rez, 2.- SHE BECOMES IMMUNE TO PHYSICAL DAMAGE LATER IN THE GAME, and 3.- she has a kick ass TEDDY
@ES21007 There is a Jump Start feature in Mana Khemia Student Alliance. Using it will allow quicker load times and voiced battles. To turn it on you must go to the option menu. At the very bottom of the screen there should be "Save the Jump Start data". Once saved it should have voiced battles.
Note the Revenge Cannon's highest level is when Muppy uses the Type KSSM cannon for Revenge Cannon it deals MAJOR damage and ByeBye Bomb is the shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. Also try lowering Pamela's health before using No Bullying for MAX DAMAGE! And one thing, Flay is the ULTIMATE BADASS! Vayne is cool to but he doesn't have a FRICKIN DRILL 3 TIMES BIGGER THEN YOURSELF. Then again, Vayne can transform into a sword 6 times as big as himself. And Anna is CHEATER!
@lotharsredemption yeah lower pamelas hp to 1 and then all hell will break loose basically have a meat stick (flay,vayne,nikki etc.) out with jess and pamela and once its pamelas turn to move and her hp is one no bullying for max damage then jess with one of her healing circles

"No Bullying" here of Pamela is shown improperly..... That is one of the best attacks in the game you know and to do it on full hp is funny ^_^. Have her at 1 hp so it'll be fun to watch
to use variable strike, put vayne on the third support, then wait until all of the supproter can help / change. For example put nikki, roxis and vayne as supporter. After that choose one of your character to attack, then change nikki, after that change roxis, and last one, change vayne
You know even if you don't like this kind of game and are so jaded you consider all these characters unoriginal you at least must say that this game showed off the best the PS2 has to offer when it comes to action oriented battles, not to mention a great line up of finishers that rival FF in awesomeness (and flashiness)...... except Muppy...he is just unnecessary
@Lukuz13 any way wen i use him he's my safety net,high hp and defence,also wen he dies in battle he has an ability to do masave damage before hes down.other than that not a very good fighter compared to the others(except roxis,without his mana,hes very useless).
@Kotaro94 Perhaps so, but the best tank in the team is Vayne because he can take like 8 turns at a time if you do it right, plus his attack is incredible, along with Nikki, Roxis has best magic (as long as he has his mana...seriously how is that a SIDEQUEST) and Flay has best defense if you train him right Muppy does have some choice moves, just sayin he is extremely distracting and i can';t take him serious lol
@Lukuz13 well in technicallities vayne is a great tank becaus the balence of his stats.and i agree about the whole roxis sidequest,but seriously,he is a not recomended character for me because of lack of defence;id rather use jess.with flay,he is a good character,but i rather use nikki instead.but one thing i dislike about muppy is that he,she,"it" lacks sp.using muppys magic is pretty much useless.
@Kotaro94 Yea Vayne is a must when it comes to tough fights, he can literally take out entire teams of the monsters in the ??? zone, especially with maxed out magic Roxis is really strong when it comes to his own attacks, if you use them right or are facing a enemy that uses attack cards, Jess is the healer of the group though, not that her magic isn't good, just not enough variety Muppy just doesn't do it for me as a character, especially his final, its really gay
@Lukuz13 yeah he is a great character,except i hated fighting the chemera and evil vayne;cause hes unable to fight.To me,i still dont like roxis, he is not as good as cirtain characters.My main people was Vayne,Jess, and Nikki. Other than them,i love using Pamala.Her ability to avoid physical attcks has saved my butt so many times,and that her attcks r so cute XD To me Anna is cool,and her speed is vast.but she lacks in defence and attack.
@Kotaro94 Heh it made sense to the story still but still i hated that part, Vayne was the main force of my team, the thing about the apocolypse monster is that it has a FoF attack that prevents healing (called Tears of Sorrow i think) which pretty much makes items and jess useless. Roxis isn't the best by far just saying his minipulation of attack cards is very helpful, Pamela is AMAZING especially after i figured out how to get her to 1 hp and use that move Anna=speed win flay &Nikki= POWER
@Lukuz13 Oh I loved that part.It added a challenge to the game.plus that is where muppy,flay, and pamala got to shine.Roxis is helpful,but I just dont have enough patience with him.His attcks take to long,and by the time they take affect he's dead.mostly cause of his low defence.And i LOVE pamala's "Don't Bully Me" attack,it does amazing things wen ure losing.with anna shes just fun to use,esecially her burst.
@Kotaro94 True i suppose, but when you get into a routine i wasn't prepared at first and died lol, i do understand that, Roxis is one of those "support" characters, with defense buffs he is ok, but if your team is dead except him, you can kiss your ass goodbye lol, though the thing about him is, even if he dies, if you use all his time attacks, he ends up finishing off a weakened enemy or 3 lol. Pamela took out the dark "???" bosses by herself...BY HERSELF lol, Anna is best for speed ^^
@Lukuz13 ok ok,i get it,Annas speed is epic.I got it the first time XD And you can see why shes awsome.With the ability to be imune to physical attacks and having high magic resistance.But she's kinda bad wen u first get her cause of the bad defence,happy she gets that ability tho.and just sayin,but roxis is a little bad.I dont really have a use for him.takes him awhile to beat weak monsters(unless u use alot of his sp) and he dies quick during boss battles.Id rather use Flay,i dont use him much

@Kotaro94 Oh she does say that, because by then sulpher is becoming a normal cat, Its a big mystery i think hints that mana can loose their power, but sulpher is definetly a mana at first, he transforms into battle gear, some think its Vayne, but his power was never to fight, Sulpher looses his power and starts dying because of that, but Vayne brings him back, then by destroying his own mana powers sulpher becomes a normal cat fully at the end. lol well the second isn't as good but sequels arn't
@Lukuz13 na sulphur is a normal cat, the back story to the song dreams of a black cat are his memory of going from being found by theofratus as a kitten to growing up watching theofratus. if sulphur were a mana from the start theofratus never would have referred to him as a kitten and named him sulphur. also sulphur refers to himself as having lived a long life as it first eludes to him dieing of age. vaynes power to wish as a mana gave him the ability to turn sulphur into a weapon.
@ashofoblivion Well what purpose would Vayne have had in the past to turn Sulpher to a weapon, or more over, how would sulpher talk to him, he mentions living a long life because as a mana he has, but he is loosing his strength, i think thats what it was trying to show, that they can can, as for the kitten thing, sulpher looks like any ol cat as it is so of course he would say that, Vayne seems so reluctant to fight i find it hard to believe he's turn his friend to a weapon willingly
@Lukuz13 if sulphur was referred to as a kitten by theofratus and not later changed by theofratus that means by defauilt that sulphur would have had to grow correct? also vayne and everyone from the beginning believed that sulphur was his mana. nowhere did it refer to sulphur ever being a weapon before he became a student correct? also as a man immediately mana were referred to as the reason you can fight. by default then with belief that sulphur was a mana to help him fight he became aweapn
@ashofoblivion Well yes, but mana mature as well, maybe not grow, but they do mature, as shown by nikki's mana as well as a few others. As for that of sorts, Vaynes life before the school is mostly a mystery, sulpher was the only thing Vayne knew, so he didn't even know how to fight, sulpher was more his mentor then anything else, to think he is just a cat is kinda silly don't you think? I mean unless you are saying that it says all cats are that smart, even so there is the other evidence
@Lukuz13 also, if sulphur were a mana from the start then why in the memory of sulphur to the song dreams of a black cat have theofratus tellign sulphur to wait outside of town because the epidemic may be contagious. im pretty sure that a mana wouldnt be very easy to kill by a human epidemic. im currently on my third playthrough in the last 3 months so this is kindof obvious to me. but without paying attention to a lot of sulphur himselfs story i can understand a misunderstanding
@ashofoblivion Well that would be because of the kindness the person has as it is, just because he is powerful doesn't mean all concern is flushed out the window right? Yeah i think alot of people misunderstand this, but in that way, sulpher being a normal cat is pretty impossible, even if Vayne turned him to battle gear, why his cat? he could technically turn a tree into it or even nothingness if he wanted to
@Lukuz13 also again with sulphur having to grow, it is referred to as vayne realy only being about well 4-6 years old technically if you never caught that. its a side note but it makes sulphurs age and normal catness plausible\. also sulphur was vaynes only friend and his only companion, of course vaynes going to wish to be able to talk to his only friend? this would also explain why noone else could talk to him.
@ashofoblivion No i caught that very well, but sulpher wasn't always vaynes, he was his fathers for most likely many years, and if he can create a mana in boy form, i don't find it hard to believe he has a mana cat of his own, after all he is a alchemist. Well i suppose that would make sense if you say it that way, but sulpher seemed too knowledgeable to have just gained speech from Vayne, even if he did im pretty sure he would be the one asking questions
@Lukuz13 also very early on nikki asks if she can try on sulphur and sulphur says he will only work with vayne and nikki and jess are dissapointed. this is because sulphur can ONLY work with vayne
@ashofoblivion yeah, like any mana can, no one can try on nikki's mana of earth or trees or whatever you want to call it, neither can Flay's mana switch with Vayne, its a contract they form only with one person
@Lukuz13 and with vayne only being 4-6 years old remember when they first learn about theofratus and i think it was nikki who told >i forget his name< that this means hes old enough to have a child as old as vayne and remeber this guy was a classmate of theofratus and the guy goes into "shock" as they refer to it as when he just emotes *gag* and doesnt say anything else with a stunned look on his face. this is because not a huge amount of time had passed since they ALL had been students.

@ashofoblivion True all true, but remember the town Vayne was in was fully aware of how dangerous he was, at least enough to shun him, so Vayne had no one but sulpher, he didn't need to fight, he could just wish his enemies away but sulpher might have taught him to fight, with that though if he were just a cat, why would it have to be sulpher to be his sword? why not just materialize it out of nothing? he could surely do that instead of endangering his friend yes?
@Lukuz13 if sulphur was originally not so wise when vayne made sulphur sentient to become his friend by sulphurs pure life experience thus far he became wise because all previous life experience became life experience of a sentient fully human capable life form opposed to that of a cat. if you had lived your whole life watching an incredibly powerful famous and skilled alchemist youd be wise too correct?

@Lukuz13 also sulphur says alchemists are foolish this is because in his experience he saw the most famous and powerful alchemist screw up and destroy himself. he saw an alchemist go from the most powerfuyl man in the world to a shadow of his former self. and when nikki scratches the pillar in the workshop and its blamed on sulphur he denies it and says any self respecting adult cat wouldnt scratch its a kittens thing. he again makes arefernce to his age, and his being a cat
@ashofoblivion Actually i am quite sure Vaynes father created Vayne purposely to kill him because he was too much of a coward to commit suicide, because of what he had done in the past, Sulpher blamed the alchemist for leaving the poor boy all alone with no one to care for him. perhaps but the mana form doesn't mean they do not act like that, take Roxis's mana for instance, it was a wolf, now if you listen to it when it attacks, it howls, so yes, mana do take on characteristics of their form
@Lukuz13 and ya vaynes father did create him to kill him but that is why i say he saw the most powerful alchemist in the world destroy himself. theofratus didnt kill "himself he made vayne to do so i just used that as another refence to him destroying himself. i just shrank the wording. also remember he referred to it as a mana remedy but he just said he thought it might work. they ALL said theyd never heard of a mana becoming sick before including the teacher it was a last ditch attempt

Even though they said it was sickness, it wasn't you could tell because sulpher simply collapsed at times, leading to thoughts of fatigue, which would come from a mana loosing its power, My guess is most mana are not as old as sulpher when they make contracts, but even if thats not it, Vayne did use him alot in his adventures, more over, vayne is a mana too, so if it is a contract between two mana's then perhaps Vayne zaped his strength unknowingly
@Lukuz13 also remember isolde said she healed him by just putting him on an hour of an iv. and when asked what kind she brushed it off. how then if he was a man from the start would isolde know to fix him with an iv also she said when she fixed him that she had soem experience with cats.
@ashofoblivion Well remember isolde was theofratus's "lover" or at least it was implyed that she loved him, so of course she would know how to take care of him, I am guessing that theofratus and sulpher were extremely close, his only friend like with Vayne if you will, the "iv" could have been any number of things as isolde was a powerful alchemist in her own right, so..she could have done any number of things, i would think she would lie to keep vayne from seeing his own strength

for people who doen't know how to get your caracters to talk in the psp version go to options in the main menu and chose save jump start that will activate the voices in battle and evin decreace the loading time when going to other places (don't forget to turn it ON in the option menu hope this helps :)

"No Bullying" here of Pamela is shown improperly..... That is one of the best attacks in the game you know and to do it on full hp is funny ^_^. Have her at 1 hp so it'll be fun to watch

to use variable strike, put vayne on the third support, then wait until all of the supproter can help / change. For example put nikki, roxis and vayne as supporter. After that choose one of your character to attack, then change nikki, after that change roxis, and last one, change vayne

You know even if you don't like this kind of game and are so jaded you consider all these characters unoriginal you at least must say that this game showed off the best the PS2 has to offer when it comes to action oriented battles, not to mention a great line up of finishers that rival FF in awesomeness (and flashiness)...... except Muppy...he is just unnecessary

@Lukuz13 any way wen i use him he's my safety net,high hp and defence,also wen he dies in battle he has an ability to do masave damage before hes down.other than that not a very good fighter compared to the others(except roxis,without his mana,hes very useless).

@Kotaro94 Perhaps so, but the best tank in the team is Vayne because he can take like 8 turns at a time if you do it right, plus his attack is incredible, along with Nikki, Roxis has best magic (as long as he has his mana...seriously how is that a SIDEQUEST) and Flay has best defense if you train him right Muppy does have some choice moves, just sayin he is extremely distracting and i can';t take him serious lol

@Lukuz13 well in technicallities vayne is a great tank becaus the balence of his stats.and i agree about the whole roxis sidequest,but seriously,he is a not recomended character for me because of lack of defence;id rather use jess.with flay,he is a good character,but i rather use nikki instead.but one thing i dislike about muppy is that he,she,"it" lacks sp.using muppys magic is pretty much useless.

@Kotaro94 Yea Vayne is a must when it comes to tough fights, he can literally take out entire teams of the monsters in the ??? zone, especially with maxed out magic Roxis is really strong when it comes to his own attacks, if you use them right or are facing a enemy that uses attack cards, Jess is the healer of the group though, not that her magic isn't good, just not enough variety Muppy just doesn't do it for me as a character, especially his final, its really gay

Other than them,i love using Pamala.Her ability to avoid physical attcks has saved my butt so many times,and that her attcks r so cute XD To me Anna is cool,and her speed is vast.but she lacks in defence and attack.

@Kotaro94 Heh it made sense to the story still but still i hated that part, Vayne was the main force of my team, the thing about the apocolypse monster is that it has a FoF attack that prevents healing (called Tears of Sorrow i think) which pretty much makes items and jess useless. Roxis isn't the best by far just saying his minipulation of attack cards is very helpful, Pamela is AMAZING especially after i figured out how to get her to 1 hp and use that move Anna=speed win flay &Nikki= POWER

@Lukuz13 Oh I loved that part.It added a challenge to the game.plus that is where muppy,flay, and pamala got to shine.Roxis is helpful,but I just dont have enough patience with him.His attcks take to long,and by the time they take affect he's dead.mostly cause of his low defence.And i LOVE pamala's "Don't Bully Me" attack,it does amazing things wen ure losing.with anna shes just fun to use,esecially her burst.

@Kotaro94 True i suppose, but when you get into a routine i wasn't prepared at first and died lol, i do understand that, Roxis is one of those "support" characters, with defense buffs he is ok, but if your team is dead except him, you can kiss your ass goodbye lol, though the thing about him is, even if he dies, if you use all his time attacks, he ends up finishing off a weakened enemy or 3 lol. Pamela took out the dark "???" bosses by herself...BY HERSELF lol, Anna is best for speed ^^

@Kotaro94 Oh she does say that, because by then sulpher is becoming a normal cat, Its a big mystery i think hints that mana can loose their power, but sulpher is definetly a mana at first, he transforms into battle gear, some think its Vayne, but his power was never to fight, Sulpher looses his power and starts dying because of that, but Vayne brings him back, then by destroying his own mana powers sulpher becomes a normal cat fully at the end. lol well the second isn't as good but sequels arn't

@Lukuz13 na sulphur is a normal cat, the back story to the song dreams of a black cat are his memory of going from being found by theofratus as a kitten to growing up watching theofratus. if sulphur were a mana from the start theofratus never would have referred to him as a kitten and named him sulphur. also sulphur refers to himself as having lived a long life as it first eludes to him dieing of age. vaynes power to wish as a mana gave him the ability to turn sulphur into a weapon.

Even though they said it was sickness, it wasn't you could tell because sulpher simply collapsed at times, leading to thoughts of fatigue, which would come from a mana loosing its power, My guess is most mana are not as old as sulpher when they make contracts, but even if thats not it, Vayne did use him alot in his adventures, more over, vayne is a mana too, so if it is a contract between two mana's then perhaps Vayne zaped his strength unknowingly

for people who doen't know how to get your caracters to talk in the psp version go to options in the main menu and chose save jump start that will activate the voices in battle and evin decreace the loading time when going to other places (don't forget to turn it ON in the option menu hope this helps :)

@Polokpva I still think Muppy is abit IDK useless since he only works for mobs weak on fire. I think he is just an extra they put in the game

He can turn strong enemies into punys and he can shield your party members while he is in support position.
