In the case of your air conditioner, yes there is an exhaust/heat vent on the outside of your house. The reason this is not a solution to global warming is because there is no way to vent heat from earth to the vacuum of space.

With enough of this in big cities you get a measurable increase in temperature. What you need then are some really big air conditioners to transfer that heat to uninhabited areas ... or maybe recycled back into energy production.
