Also the "h" sound is something that russians don't have, (Ukrainians do though). Instead there's this dull ch sound, like h but without using the "throat".

Also the i, is cleaner in russian, and sounds more like eee.

As in "was killed" would sound more like "waz keeld"

Very touching piece Amy. I was never fond of acts like these, but you managed to bring so many emotions in this that I might have to reconsider my tastes.

Being Ukrainian/Russian myslelf, I find your accent is more ukrainian. Just a tip, if you want to improve on your russian accent:

There's no "a" sound as in English, it is an open, dull, "u" sound in russian instead.

And when russians try to pronounce the english a, they make this sound as an e in "echo".

Beautiful. One tip though: Czech has accent always on the first syllable, you sometimes put it on the last syllable as in Russian (especially when saying "David", but also elsewhere). A Czech speaking English would not do that, it is not natural.

Anyway, I would be happy if my English accent was as close to native as your Czech, so don't take this the wrong way please. There are some words that you pronounce exactly like a native Czech speaker would! All your videos are simply great.

On second hearing, the strange accent is just in the names "David" and "Anicka". When you say "Anna" it sounds fine and "Irena" sounds absolutely perfect.

Amy, as someone who played the role of Irena Synková 15 years ago, when I was 13 years old, I must say this is absolutely gorgeous. She is such a haunting character. Even now, 15 years later, I still remember that monologue, the one where she talks about losing her daughter. I think I cried real tears everytime I performed it. Wow. Thanks for bringing her story to further life! You are such a shining star. We're all cheering for you!
