  • I really enjoyed the whole thing. Thanks for posting and good luck!

  • Wish everyone would drop irrelevant comments about age thing. Pretty obvious it was initially to distinguish him from the older Robby B. Am I correct in assuming that is his dad? Great music, Robbie -- more!!

  • Great sound guitarist is ispired to wes and Pat martino

  • im 18 and i cant grow sideburns like that, you must be very proud.

  • How old is the guitar player?

  • @waldo2384 Pre-historic

  • keep it up robbie you sound bette than those old guys on stage with you

  • The Hammond B3 is God's gift to jazz.

  • Most excellent!

  • Hot playing Robbie 18. I'm Brian 47. Have a great day.

  • sack galifanakis tore down the purp onion too.

  • wow.great!

  • MUY BUENO MAN

  • You're really 18 years old? Wooooooooooooooow, never seen such a talent before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have just searched the net for some of his music to buy, where on earth do I get a hold of it

  • The age thing is getting old. I mean , this kid is great! It doesn't really matter how old someone is, just if they can play... This kid can play :)

    I love B3 !!

  • who cares about the age thing, it means he was 18 at the time. unless you cant add 2 and 18, its pretty obvious hes 20-21 now. NBD. just means he was nasty since.

    ill, nuff said.

  • Good stuff, Robbie. I agree with everyone who's suggested dropping the reference to your age. It's been about 2 years since you posted and I sure hope you're not known as "20 year old Robbie Benson". This is about YOU, and not about how old you are (were).

  • oOOO weeee nice crew

  • Robbie, I really love what you do and encourage you to keep at it you've got a real talent ...but I have to say, could you drop the constant references to being '18 Years Old'? No one really cares. All the audience is interested in is how you play and sound. Constantly mentioning your age on every one of your clips makes you sound like a talent quiz contestant or a carnival freak. Leave it out. But keep up the great playing man! And I mean 'MAN'!

  • I'm inclined to agree with most of these comments about the drummer. He totally detracts from the overall feel of the song. I think he sounds really out of place with this song. I would love to hear you play with a real jazz drummer.

  • did that drummer pay to play with them??? its not Nirvana, who ever says "hes good" is obviously deaf!! this could be a cool version of this song but its fucked due to the dude who obviosly paid to play with the band or its his club or birthday party. I cant believe a bucnh of musicians like this could join a group with this dude behind them!

  • I paid for the pizza at break time, you mean I should have made Robert buy it?

  • What's that-Huh?how's that ?huh?Did you say something?

  • Wowie! Robbie is a GREAT talent eh??

    Go Sonny!

  • i hate to play jazz (guitar) i started learnin it for like 2 lessons and i hated it so i stuck with what i like (even though its good to play many different styles) i didnt have patience to learn jazz,

i dont listen to jazz but this is good as (Y)

  • pimander.... you have no Soul if you don't appreciate this musical treat. Very sweet sound

  • Poor vid, not even close to the video mentioned in the info. All these musicians are made of fail I'm afraid.

  • What a cock sucker! I just looked at your videos - your musical favorites are collectively some of the most average goons I've ever seen. Plus, your non-musical favorites are flat out bizarre. When you upload a video of yourself ripping a jazzy version of "sunny", then you can talk. Until then, piss off - this young man rocks.

  • What is the chart for Sunny? I can't find it anywhere. What is the main progression?

  • very nice

  • no drum grove... only 1,2,3,4... no up? funk is all about up with punch

  • I commend them for choosing to cover such an awesome song. The Bobby Hepp original and the subsequent jazz interpretations by both Wes Montgomery and Pat Martino are all classic tunes.

  • This kid can really play, CHAPEAU !!!

  • everyone keeps saying that the drummer is terrible but I think he does just fine. I think its the guitarist thats the poor player of the bunch. His attempts at the main melody in the beginning sounds lifeless & out of synch (not out of synch in a good way)

  • I agree,

  • Darn I knew we should have rehearsed before the gig.

  • drummer is too rock for this no???no cool chops.

    no disrespect.. but..

    anyway man great hammond playing..

  • fucking awesome Robbie btw nothing wrong with the drummer.

  • what's with the drummer? haha

  • Would sound better slower as a trio without the drums. Everybody else is rockin' though.

  • yer gonna have to start posting 19 yr old robbie

  • yeah he was not a jazz type drummer. but the rest of the band was really good.

  • yea, the drummer sucks, but everyone else sounds good

  • mate your awesome, a rising star, etc....

    but get a NEW DRUMMER!!!!

  • Rock drummer playing jazz...bleh

  • yeh i know, its awful, isnt it?!!

  • Yeap! Awfull drummer...

  • man the drummer did suck pretty hard

  • it doesn't makes anything good if your saying your 18

  • You're on your way young man!

  • Well done Robbie you remind me of me when I was Seventeen. The Hammond was current then!

  • robbie...you're a rising star... amazing how you groove...respect...watching out for ya

  • nice....workin on this myself...b200 tho- sounds great wish I had this talent when I was 18..,.damn banjo got in the way..lol

  • man i would funk your ass up on an organ and im 17 . thats right SEVENTEEEEEN. NOT 18... SEVENTEEN

  • Let me get this straight - are you SEVENTEEEEEN or SEVENTEEN?

  • believe it or not SEVENTEEN

  • so post a vid won't you if you can "funk his ass up" on a hammond and you're 17

  • i will, just as soon as i get a video cam.

  • damn i wish i knew how old he was

  • hahahahah nice

  • Good groove, classic tune. Bravo!

  • very nice robbie! i'm keepin' my eye on you.

  • wesb0104, you need to chill. this dude is GROOVIN, and that is what the Hammond is all about. Robbie...keep it up man, I enjoy the tunez.!!!

  • the organist isn't even the best soloist up there.. worst timing on stage and not many developed ideas.. he's just young is all... you'd be eaten alive by kids in new orleans even younger than you..

  • Wow, you sound like you're seventeen or something. LOL

  • nice group the drummer needs to play more in the pocket the time is dragging needs to keep the band together.

  • great!

  • Robbie, you have a unique and wonderful gift! Keep up the great work and you will be widely sought after. Great band that accompanied you as well. Great Gentlemen!

  • robbie, thanx for that !!! im a good fun of Richard tee and a found your videos trying to find something of him. you play really cool, is not easy to play the mood of richard!! im from argentina, drummer. Plis keep posting !!! thnx again..!

  • the sound is great, the music is great! what type of Jazz would you say this is? Jazz Funk maybe? It's nice. Even though I am more into Smooth Jazz. I like that organ sound, do you use a leslie? Great stuff!!! Want more!!!!!!!

  • Thanks a lot. Yeah jazz/funk, that's what I'd say.

  • smooth jazz isnt jazz (or music)

  • smooth jazz is music as straight ahead is jazz.

  • this video was very good i wasn't trying to diss it or call it smooth jazz, I should clarify that. very talented, good job
