lord knows I luv jennifer but not this remake. The music is throwing me off. Don't care the uptempo beat. It takes the emotion and depth outta of the song. To me Tamia's version set the standard and it was somewhat faithful to the original. Tamia didn't just sing the song, she seduced and romanced the hell out of it in addition to giving an innocent, dreamlike quality. She accomplished with a whisper what couldn't be accomplished with a yell.

The orinigal song was recorded by British singer Mica Paris - who gives it a jazzy/rnb feel. Tamia's version is the remake of the song - hers is an rnb/pop and a more commerial feel. Jennifer's version has an uptempo urban rnb feel to it. I must say, I love what she did to make it hers. There shouldn't be a debate because all of the renditions hit the mark. All Great.

This was NOT the only classic that was re-done for Quincy Jones' newly released project..MJ's "P.Y.T" was also re-done by T-Pain & Robin Thicke...personally,I would have preferred for some of the songs on there to NOT have been touched..but you have to realize that "Change"is one of those things that simply will happen! Embrace the fact that J.Hud is a great singer, and though the production is cool for some and not for all, doesn't mean that this rendition is bad...Spread love! :-)

I really like this song. I'm not familiar with the earlier versions, so I can't compare to this version. I think Jennifer does a great job singing, and the arrangement has a wonderful vibe.

This was NOT the only classic that was re-done for Quincy Jones' newly released project..MJ's "P.Y.T" was also re-done by T-Pain & Robin Thicke...personally,I would have preferred for some of the songs on there to NOT have been touched..but you have to realize that "Change"is one of those things that simply will happen! Embrace the fact that J.Hud is a great singer, and though the production is cool for some and not for all, doesn't mean that this rendition is bad...Spread love! :-)

I really like this song. I'm not familiar with the earlier versions, so I can't compare to this version. I think Jennifer does a great job singing, and the arrangement has a wonderful vibe.

if this was the 1st version, it would be good, but bc the took such a classic song wit beautiful melodies n made it into a up tempo song, it wasnt as good as the 1st. jen sung nicely, but tamia voice fit the song better. this is tamia song n she killed it. jen, did her thing, upits better then than now

I agree this one moves away from the original arrangement and I like that as well. Finally, what makes a song a classic is people singing it recording it. Keeping it fresh and alive.
