The long tomb represents the high spiritual station(maqam) that he had achieved. It has nothing with his real height. It is symbolic and basically tells people that he was very pious. Wallahualam. Only God knows best.

i don't know it is right or not but for arabic grave style the tomb on the grave is bigger than original grave and from inner side the place where is dead body is place is a dugg beneath the side walls so that might be the case with this grave too.

this can not b right. propotion is way out and if he was maryams father that is about the time that humans did record history about 10-20 bc. how come no other person from that era was so tall and romans ruled their land how come they failed to mention a 100 plus feet man. i dnt know but i highly doubt this is true.

@abbas7944 Brother, 'dnt mix truth to falsehood':Quran. Any our worship which may lead us or others to minor or bigger sin, it is to be avoided. Thats the reason Islam avoided even pictures, bcoz it may lead us to worship (even mentally a least bit) the picture. Most of the people of former messengers, gone to statues and idols bcoz of this. And Muhammad(s) told better to have 'sunna salah'. But Can I or do 'sunnah salah' after azar? Is nt it better? Or for every 'rak at', we will get reward...

i'm from oman and I didn't even go there yet despite being to salalah twice ... heh , VIVA OMAAN !!

and yes , its quite impossible for the prophet to but this thin, its most likely a marking and he's actually underneath. Would be "reaally" interesting if they did some kind of xray to reveal whats actually underneath !
