  • what is that electronics on your engine??? and how it works?

  • do you just put the tube with the air into the spark plug hole? i do this and it just goes back and forth? how?

  • kool im making one out of a 4 stroke tecumseh.....i have my j-b weld dryin(more lobs on cam)

  • Its pretty cool, But 1 problem I do know of doing this with a piston engine. It requires so much presure to get power that it isnt worth it. I think a rotory engine would be a better suit. Anyway, nice work!

  • how do you rev it?

  • Sweet runs great! I'm thinking od doing this with a weedeater. Great job!

  • On a 2-stroke engine there must something to lubricate the piston and crankshaft. An air compressor has a carter with oil like a 4-stroke engine, but what has this engine?

  • @NederSaks u could use an air tool inline oiler if u wanted to and put engine oil in i or something its not a big deal if u just squirt some oil in it every once and a while its not running very fast

  • scrap the solinoid. it makes it more eficient but is not needed

  • Nice!

  • hey u dont need to use solinoids, check out my vid and see

  • use a old 2 stroke moped and hook it up and go for a cruise......

  • Too bad solenoids dont last a whole day running full time

  • no air! but gas

  • I am hoping to make a weed eater that does this and run it off backpack scuba tanks so its portable

  • I see one problem with an air engine. You need a power sorce to get the compressed air. The only good this does is to probably replace 2 cycles engines which are said to not burn as clean as 4 cycles. So you can basically compress air in a cleaner fassion to use it in a manner that electric or 4 cycles engines would be harder to use.

  • I did this with a leaf blower engine and It worked!

  • That's pretty cool. now you can blow leafs on compressed air :D

It's nice to hear that other people are trying this at other engines and machines.

  • @tuningtinus Use steam and you can run a generator!

  • do you lubricate the cylinder or the case or what because if you run it too long it will cease up and it will be of no more

  • I won to buy one of this please

  • how long can it run on a given supply of air?

  • I don't know that exactely because I only tested it on a compressor. Unfortunately I don't have time left to work further on it. Because I do want to test a lot more with it.

  • sounds like you could get at least 1hp out of it or more

  • wicked

  • Want a tesla turbine? Buy an air tool. Want an engine that is unique? Build your own. You did a good job of that tuningtinus !

  • you sped up the video to make it appear that it was working faster, cool idea of the valve for solving this common problem though, should have tried building a tesla turbine, that is where true compressed air driving efficiency lies.

  • I didn't do anything to the video. This is really it's speed.

And about that tesla engine, that's way to complicated, I like to do something great like this in a simple way.

  • @tuningtinus haha bullshit you didnt speed it up! ha!

  • I second the motion for the vid being sped up... either that or the camera operator is extremely spastic.

  • @11supaman11 yeah you can tell by the camera movements and other things.

  • @11supaman11 He was shooting in 60 fps, much smoother video

  • gotta run this thing on dry ice and water (CO2)

  • look at mine, it runs with no valves or solenoids, just straight air into the spark plug hole. Works great, only difference is i have to pull mine to start it, doesnt start on its own.

  • when you sid look at mine you actully ment look at Cchange4us's right?

  • haha u too lol.

  • Now lets see it run on steam...

  • man good job but you should see mine i made from scratch its a little 3 cylinder runs like 1000 rpm at 40 psi ill try to get a vid up

  • I'm looking forward to see your vid. Let me know when it is there.

  • hey its me again

You can try starting it when the piston is at dead top

when you dont have a valve thing

that engine design is pretty much the same as mine.

  • If thats a 2 stroke you made a big mistake you could of just straight up force the air in there with no crazy valve things just straight air nothing else needed. THIS IS ONLY WITH A 2 STROKE ENGINE ONLY!!!!!!!!

  • I don't think you're right cause if you let the air straight in it while the piston is down it would blow the air out of the cilinder. That's why i added the valve.

  • lol if you do that it just spins in dirffrent directions do to that nature of a two stroke cycle lol. you need a valve to do contstant turn in one diretion reliably.

  • great job!!!!! what is the hp? I will tell you all this that compressed air driven engines are not in any way energy effective but are a alternitive to power in one way or another like under water applications or well sparks or ignitions are not allowed but yet you need rotating power with out hydaulics.

  • yea but ure gonna have a lubrication issue man

  • Well I do now oil it before I let it run by getting the exhaust off and inject some oil. I think I can solve the problem by using some kind of carburettor at the original intake so that it'll get oil constantly.

  • yes I think it is possible if it can handle the pressure. Mine is just a part of an old washing machine. It is actualy meant for water but I tried it with air and it works fine up to 10 bar.

  • I didn't change anything about the engine itself. I just built some things around it like a valve and wires.

It doesn't generate's power yet but I will connect a generator to it so that he can heap up a battery for example so that he can work very energy efficient.

  • Very clever and resourceful to use a solenoid valve to control air inlet timing. I don't think there are any manufacturers doing this. Do you have an exhaust valve or just a piston operated exhaust port?

  • It has an piston operated exhaust from itself so I didn't need to make one.

  • Do you have the drawing?I'd like to make one in Taiwan!

  • could you post more of this

  • how you made it and that work and what you used

  • Wie weet wordt je door dit filmpje nog wel ontdekt ±p

  • ja maar door wie..

dat is altijd nog maar de vraag
