grave mistake to use chinese instruments for this song. The musicians in this video obviously doesn't know their stuffs deep enough.

The usage of chinese instruments shd be on songs which are largely based on pentatonic melodies, whereby in this song, it's not largely based on pentatonics. What's happening to Sg's music scene?

If im not wrong, these musicians were specifically asked to perform with the chinese instruments. This performance was one of the initiatives in introducing the traditional chinese musical instruments during the Chinese New Year period for the school students.

My school's Chinese orchestra played this too. They sounded good. They focus it whole song on cello rather than erhu in this case. Erhu make it sound too high. so... This song sounds good on Chinese instruments too ;D
