Me i would get the Alias 2 because of the e-ink technology and because of the screen is bigger than the original Alias well that just my opinion you decide but i personally pick the Alias 2

I have this phone and the keyboard is ALOT better than people think. It may look small but its sooo easy and comfortable to type on. I barley make any mistakes when typing.

The keyboard on this phone is actually great, I could type entirely with my left hand (and I'm a righty) just fine. I only make mistakes when I'm trying to type a lot of words as quick as possible.

I recently tried it out, so I think A2 is better as well. It doens't look like "the tihng", but when you have it in your hands it becomes another device entirely.

before you get this phone make sure that you are comfortable w/ the keyboard! its quite small! but once you get used to it, its AWESOME!

I just got this phone yesterday. I was using the blackberry pearl before the alias. This phone is so difficult for me to text on. The numbers and letters are in two different directions and i was hitting 2 keys whenever i tried to text. I'm giving the alias to my mom and getting a different phone today...

pros and cons of phone:

pros: easy to text on. if you want a small phone with a qwerty, get this phone. ive thrown the phone a few times and hasnt been damaged just battery cover flew off =)

cons: has some lag issues for me and camera isnt as good as i would like it

but my personal opinon is to not get the phone. i had the black one and got it replaced 3 times. then verizon just gave me this. so far, same issues are occuring but contract ends soon soo. just get the dare or env2 for a qwerty keyboard.
