I think I like Capital Radio Two slightly better than Capital Radio One. Just the way Joe sings (e.g."they don't make the city beeeeeeeat") and his little rant at the end, not to mention the deceiving, "radio-friendly" intro.
More than 25 years ago I had a tape of the rare E.P. "Black Market Clash". Then I lost that beloved tape. Now I'm listening to "Capital Radio One": I'm crying for joy and nostalgia. Thank you, Mandaluyongboy.
@midcenturygirl You're absolutely right. I have a copy of Black Market Clash. When I was a kid a friend of mine swapped that and Give em Enough rope.
The reason why most people enjoy this version more is simply because how clean cut and tight it is, compared to #2 which has a much easier bassline to play while the guitars fly left and right.
have any u guys got the clash singles box set with all the singles on they had this capital radio but it was much more powerful more punk give it a lision again if u have it much better.

I'm a north american and bought "Black Market Clash" as released to us. "Capitol Radio One" was on it, and not on my copy of "Give 'em enough rope".

@kingrob29 this wasnt on that album. This was part of package with some other songs. The outtakes are better the the album.

Any chance you could post the B side, London's Burning (single version) ? Cheers mandal......

this version is more agressive than the second one...you can feel the message of the song with this version
