  • @Derufu1792 The Magnificent Butcher with Sammu Hung, nice movie =D

  • the last airbender

  • avatar the last airbender earth bending

  • @bigsboy100 yep because Hung gar gets power from earth itself :)

  • I like this more than wing chun because it hits hard as well as soft. Wing Chun doesn't hit very hard.

  • *bows*

  • who is the man at 2:00?

    he embarass me :P

    sorry for spelling...

  • @kogiama sifu chiu chi-ling is his name

  • I can't figure out which film has the fighting in the narrow cement hallway. Haven't seen that one.

  • Wonderful...loved the music as well

  • chi kuan chun is jus breathtakin.

  • Já treinei o estilo Hung Gar de Kung Fu, achei o vídeo maravilhoso!

  • these fight scenes nvr looked so impressive when i first watched them

  • the 3rd guy is chiu chi ling, one of the few remaining hung gar masters still alive. the cool thing is he learned this style from his mother, so i heard.

  • was the guy at 1:50 in kung fu hustle? uses rings on forearms and isnt he supposed to be like a real life grand master?

  • @Davejimjr Yes, Chiu Chi Ling

  • wow I enjoyed this, nice done

  • @TangASD Hung Gar is manly.

  • I love it

  • I nead an answer!

Im 13 years old, and in november, im starting on Hung Gar kung fu.

I have trained hiep vo mon kung fu for 1 year before, but do you think i can make it?

  • @123kawaiigirl123 anyone can do anything theres no such thing as "can't" what you want to make sure when you start training is that your teacher is good and open. by open i mean he answers any questions and is not secrative about things.

  • whats the musics name

  • could you tell the names from these movies please? thanks :)

  • What's the name of the movie at 1:30? I know it's called 'shaolin' something, but I can't remember.

  • @Marx047

    5 animals 5 elements

  • The air needs a beatdown.

  • within a week of first hung gar training, I was already like 10 times stronger (using traditional training methods ofcourse) not saying that its better then any other style ofcourse

  • Totally agree, beyong the art, you have individuals with different levels on each art, what producesses the posiblility of beat another individual on a different level on a different art, style, etc.

Is the weak and the weackness who often is impelled to fall on those generalizations to feel a bit consoulor. P.S. Please, can somebody thell me the name of the music or where I can find it, the author, or something ?

  • Can somebody tell the name of the melody orfrom where the music omes from ?????

  • omg that's sammy hung! he was so young that time!

  • learn to fight in one art form against many beats learning many art forms to beat one....my opinion......mma isn't bad but its not as good as traditional....now if a mma beat a fung fu practitioner he beat the man not the art ....y ....because the art is as strong as the learner....mma is strong if you study it day in and out like any thing else....

  • @2:00 the guy w/the blk wrist bands was excellent in kung fu hustle using that same style.

  • @Clfguardian26 I must say, your view is highly commendable! Unfortunately, there are many others like "drksddn" who WHOLE-HEARTEDLY believe what they see in movies...LOL! To "them", it may be a bunch of gay acrobats performing a silly dance-like forms~~~~ahhh, how wrong they are! These poor misinformed souls...tsk, tsk! What they don't realize is that behind each and every gay movements, lie a devastating and powerful technique to give @drksddn a nice and sumptuous knuckle-sandwich... ^.^

  • @drksddn Unfortunately, no one gives a shit what a wannabe tough guy on the internet respects or not. If you have the slightest bit of intelligence or common sense, you'd be more humble towards the culture, training and soul practitioners put into this martial art.

  • @drksddn MMA? Isn't that where the guys don't fight but instead roll around with each other cuddling in various positions from the greeco-roman kama sutra

  • @ronin6401 I haven't agreed with too many of those from Japan, too headstrong I think, but that's a good point. Too many matches are ended on the ground they don't even attempt to go for standing grappling. It's sad really, they only focus on power not dexterity. Those who take their time will win indefinitely, for even the strongest mountain can be crumbled to pebbles by the sofest waters.

  • @drksddn Well then let us see "How tough" you really are up against shall we say Stephen chow from Kung Fu hustle. You ever seen Fearless, thousands thought the same thing when it came to the chinese and yet 'The strongest man in the world!' was saved and defeated by a man who was half his size. Muay Thai and jiu-jitsu are an okay mix they fall too much onto boxing however, but Hung Gar is already a mixed form genius. The Chinese were breaking stones when Japan was figuring out how to fight.

  • Beautiful depiction of Hung Gar Kung Fu!!!!

  • please tell me wear u got this music

  • Do you have a list of the movies used for this? I recognized a few of them, but some I wasn't sure of.

  • That's the only thing I don't like about kung fu is all the unnecessary movements. Might be good for tai chi or for a little intimidation or just the beauty of the art, but they serve no purpose in a fight. Bruce Lee said about fighting, "Keep what is useful. Discard what is not useful."

  • @errbarkkill

Some movements are used for training.

  • @errbarkkill I think the same about what everybody studies at college.. some things will be useful and some not... ::ironic::

  • @Aersus True. I don't know why a lawyer haves to learn college the function of a line. I guess it's a country's way of sparking interest to gain scientists, mathematicians and physicists and also to build up standing and repor amongst other nations in regards to the education of it's populus.

  • @errbarkkill this is movie kung fu the movements are exagurated and made to look flashy. the forms are much faster then this when practiced and the movments are not unnecessary they all have functions. tai chi is a different martial art im not sure what your saying.

  • @marsopilami187 I'm talking about all the movements like the moving around before they fight and stuff. Like in the animal forms. Moving around like an eagle or tiger ain't going to do nothing in a fight. But in Tai Chi, movements are done to harness and strengthen the flow of chi.

  • @errbarkkill well the tiger claw fits right in the colar bone or between the eyes and mouth has many functions as do the other animals. hung gar at its highest level harnesses chi in its iron wire set which can be added to all the other sets. the choreographed moevments are to train the body and reflexes the movement will not actually look this way in combat.

  • what movie is the first scene from and at 5:42

  • @alphabroly28 first scene is from "36th chamber of shaolin", the other one is "kung fu hustle"

  • Which movie is that with Sammo Hung at 2:53?

  • @ch0wsiub0w " The Magnificent Butcher"

  • HUNG family style is great, i studied it for a while ( 15 years) and it made my body strong and never ill

  • I love Hung Gar, its so powerful but very straining to the body

  • Immer wieder sehenswert.

  • please somebody tell me the name of the song its great...

  • explendid martial art, explendid music

    hung gar-

"keep training to become stronger ,to become better "

  • 1:53, the guy doing the form is the same guy who was the tailor from Kung Fu Hustle

  • 2:34 who is that?

  • @walking1way Chui Chi Ling

  • what are the names of the films here? some seem like a good watch

  • @MrOfcoursenot In order: 36 Chambers of Shaolin, Boxer Rebellion, Bruce's Deadly Fingers, Magnificent Butcher, Drunken Master, 5 Shaolin Masters, unknown, Martial Club, 5SM, MB, Kung Fu Hustle, then the same movie's repeat. Hope this helps

  • @elveskickass Any worth a watch? i've seen kung fu hustle which rocked but what about the others?

  • @farrar91 yes. all are great except Bruce's DF. you have to be a diehard Bruce LE fan to enjoy that movie.

  • 2:40 thats the guy in kung fu hustle hahaha but he was young back then.

  • 0:26 never tried it, but seems unstable. Is it?

  • I agree, qi does exist. Most people want to discredit chinese martial arts, because they're not combat proven or dont work against a grappler. In the short yes thats true. But how many 60-70 year old boxers and wrestlers do you see nowadays? Oh thats right none. Because they rely purely on physical ability something that decays with age. True martial arts is about utilizing this qi so that you dont have to rely on that. Its a long and hard road to overcome the physical limitations of the body.

  • Ya. Imagine Bruce Lee old - not fast, not that explosive... sad

  • actually 60-70 year old boxers and all those fighters still can kick your ass... the shaolin monks however have all kinda diseases at that age.

  • that's really bulshit what you said. My teacher his sifu is 82 years old without any diseases.....

  • ROFL so your teacher is a shaolin monk?

  • not school teacher, i mean my sifu :p

  • im asking a question...

  • you don't have to be a shaolin monk to have a sifu of 82 years old......

  • i wasnt asking about you i was asking about your teacher? Learn how to read.

  • @ladeninlogen Our grandmaster is...78-79-80...i don't remember :P

and he is in better shape than me :P

    15 years old :P

one of the best physical apearences in my school :P

  • What is the music theme to this video?

  • hope for all mcdonalds lovers. even if you are fat, you can be a kungfu master ! @3:00

  • can somebody list all the movies these clips were taken from, there is some great technique, and I really feel like seeing the movies in their entirety would be incredible

  • can somebody please tell me where this music was taken from? pretty please with sugar on top??

  • @jalvarez1982 :

    Artist: Nightwish

Song: Creek Mary's Blood (Orchestral Version)

  • @jalvarez1982 What kind of sugar? Brown sugar? White sugar? Nutrasweet? Splenda? Pure cane sugar?

  • @jalvarez1982 Just in case no one told you yet, as far as I remember the melody comes from a Song of the Band "Nightwish"... I believe it's "Creek Mary's Blood"

  • @jalvarez1982 This song is the instrumental version of "Creek Mary's Blood" by Nightwish

  • @jalvarez1982

    "greek marys blood" of nightwish

    the orchestra version

  • The Best... muito bom mesmo....

  • You know, in the first film he is using Shaolin 5 animal kung fu, Shaolin 5 animal kung fu is not the same thing as Hung Gar. They are not the same system! Do some research before doing stuff like this.

  • @80KungFu

it's Hung Gar just one the animal forms of the martial art style.

  • @80KungFu Chi Kwan Chun is doing the 5 animal/5 element form which is part of the Hung style. The movie is called Boxer Rebellion

  • The man from 1:55 also played in Kung Fu Husle using his Hung Gar and that is what led me on my journey to learn more about it and here I am watching him when he was younger. How ironic.

  • I keep finding myself coming back to this vid. It truly is one of the finest music videos ever created (IMHO).

  • @jalvarez1982 I have to agree with you. These clips and the music inspires me to study more about Chinese kung fu.

  • excellent, man. that's good to hear.

  • Could anyone tell me the following titles?

    1:19

    3:12

    4:24

  • 1:19 = Boxer's Rebellion

    3:12 = Magnificent Butcher

    4:24 = 5 Shaolin Masters

4:25 is what I think you were meaning is Shadow of the Tiger

    Hope this helps man.

  • Thank you very much =)

  • You are most certainly welcome.

  • i'm a hung gar student and i really appreciate this video!

  • @Maver8686 Yeah, I think Alexander Fu Sheng did a good showcase of Hung Gar on screen.

  • Awesome!

  • They should make a movie with Wong Fei Hong's Hungar vs. Bruce Lee's Jeet Kun Do. It could be like a gang film or something.

  • @iluvideos Jet lee never finished his style so it would be unfair and impossible to use it. Besides that his style had a hell of alot of movements to it. Hung gar is made to fight against to many momvents to expose and hit rather then just hit which would make it pretty hard to lose

  • Well, Lee's style was finished by somebody else, other wise there wouldn't be so many Jeet Kune Do schools. Besides, this would be a movie, the fights would be coordinated.

  • and ur talking about bruce lee?

  • I was talking about Bruce Lee. Did Jet Lee make a style??

  • then why wast that guy talking about Jet or does he not know that wong fei hung was a actual person

  • Yeah it's called the star style it's a clip of it on youtube somewhere.

  • urtalking about jet lee rite

  • @kaindrg Sorry bruce lee never finished his style

  • when he died that marked the completiong of his style as long as he lived it would never the concept of complete it never was suppose to it was suppose to change depending on the practioner bruce lee said the that the when thngs stop changing evolving for u is when u die.all martial arts change what works is what works cuz u seemed to be confused about something.

  • @kaindrg Your horribly wrong you know that? He just never finished working on it, and its flaws. Just because he died doesn't mean it was finished he even admits the flaws he had to fix before he died. Even if you do master all the it has of now, you haven' t mastered it fully because it was never fully finished. Yeah what you might have now is good, but you'll never be done.

  • nightwish music in the background xD

  • 1:50 is that the guy from kung fu hustle

  • kung fu hustle

  • Kung Fu Hustle

  • Great tribute to one of the GREATEST Martial Arts ever to come. And awesome use of Nightwish.

  • nightwish sucks,

  • you suck

  • Hung gar? Not Hungar? Like Hungary?

  • Awesome

  • ¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?wdf i love say ¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿? but anyway add my boombang account mariothelegn

    XD

  • Awesome!

  • very nice clip - thanks !!!!

  • many of these arts showcased in this video is NOT Hung Gar

  • Really? Which ones aren't?

  • they are all hung gar with the exception of some clips with hung gar vs some other style kung fu

  • Creek Mary's Blood?

  • Am I right for assuming that the music is Nightwish?

  • well of course it is led by your brain,,rather your mind not the physical, for in all fact there is nothing that is truely solid, vibration is the key

  • I'm experiencing some Hung Gar. I might go have something to eat.

  • Looks very similiar to Kalaripayattu

  • hung gar = cool

  • Traditional kung fu was originally a set of exercises taught by Bodhiharma to buddist monks to keep their bodies strong and healthy during meditation. Now, if we look at kung fu as being primarily sets of exercises based on ancient combat skills (which are now largely discredited although the most effective are still used) then we understand the true value of kung fu. As a system of exercise is keeps you fit, energises your spirit, is therapeutic - and of course looks great. What's not to love!

  • Chinese paramillitary police use Kung Fu

  • what is this song

  • Blackjamm's comment is another in a long line of unlearned jackasses who claim "Just use a gun" when faced with a martial art(ist). Blackjamm, if Kung Fu doesnt work then why did the Buddhist Monks time after time defend the Shaolin Temple with it for hundreds of years? You my friend are speaking from ignorannce. Take up shooting and feel like a man pulling a trigger from 30 yards away. You're garbage and your last statement is so outlandish you belong in a retarded camp. GOOD NIGHT NOW!!!

  • my standard response to "use a gun" comments is "I always have my hands, where is your gun right now?"

One thing people oft times overlook is that the Chinese developed crossbows during the Warring States Period (600 BCE), and yet kung fu still thrived. (A crossbow at 15 yards will punch throw a bulletproof vest with ease)

  • Hey how can I get thi song that u used? What the name?

  • KUNG FUUUUU!

  • What movie is it at 4:09? I'd really like to watch it.

  • magnificient butcher

lam sai wing, one of the lineage who actually lived

  • Thank you very much!

  • 8:54 fart?

  • The name of the music is "Creek Mary's Blood", the orchestral version, by Nightwish.

  • The movie from 5:00 to 5:13 is the 1974 film "Five Shaolin Masters"

  • Hung Gar is for mainly street fighting and self defense, easy to apply in real situations. but Hung Gar stances are way different from a boxers

  • no one knows?

  • @ 4:34...and 5:15...what are the names of them movies pleaseee?

  • I think it's Dirty Ho, but i'm not sure

  • instructors of death and the magnificient butcher

  • whats with all the win chun talk this is hung gar not at all the same thing?

  • no they ARE NOT THE SAME

  • wat up with the songs

  • Thanks a lot for putting this magnificent video.

I almost shed tears when I saw this, it holds a sentimental value for me, specially the part from 5:00 - 5:13

Can you please tell me what movie was that? I watched it more than 20 years ago and I want to watch it again.

  • What's the name of the movie that gordon lui is in? The one at 4:35?

  • The movie is called "Martial Club". I believe it came out in 1981.

  • Could you tell me the name of the song you used for this video? This video is very beautiful.

  • ok what are you one of those wing chun guys that thinks your system is the best. im not knocking wing chun its good but i went to a wing chun school and faught and i wooped all their asses twice.

  • PLEASE...I must know where this music came from! Anyone know?

  • Comment removed

  • thats part of the iron wire style.

  • Is that guy on 1:50, the same guy that played the tailor on Kung Fu Hustle? He uses that same style.
