@Ishcoa But, why would you need that? I would be glad to compare my photos with people who think you need more megapixels, faster shutter release times, etc. I have a used Olympus E510 and it works just fine.
Haha, no, I don't own a Hasselblad or any studio camera for that matter, and I honestly think that unless you're printing your photos onto a billboard (Which is what those cameras are made for) you wouldn't need that.
Defiantly one 110%, zero zip zilch chance that this is the best DSLR's on the market. Olympus to Canon or Nikon, as Kia is to Honda or Toyota. They aren't even close to being the best. I would take a 40D canon over the E-3 any day. and the E-3 cost about $400 dollars more.
Sure she over did it with that 'best' remark. But at low iso's, tests shown people can't tell the difference between the olympus to canon or even nikons in the picture comparisons! Canon is slipping these days, so much hype for nothing. Just remember a good photographer will do a great job with any camera brand. Like some one mentioned its not the camera its the photographer.
Ha, ha ha. Give me a break. Maybe that was true back with the film cameras. Now, you can't even get close to taking as good of a photograph with a cheap DSLR as you could with a high-end one. The photographer makes about 99% of the picture, with old film cameras. now its more like 90%, and the 9% that is gone really is alot.Olympus is great for what she has it for, a consumer DSLR to play around with. But by saying that if you take the E-510 and a 1-Ds Mark III, no way the E-510 can keep up
Remember, YOU are the photographer. Gee-whiz features are 'nice' but none of them will make a good photograph; only you can do that. Turn off as much garbage as possible, ignore the camera, and concentrate on making beautiful images. :)
i would knew what to do in the 5 hours wait, my batteries are charged always hahahahahaha Anyway i am also a beginner and i would take the Nikon D40, its smaller, i think less noise and a bargain. Otherwise i know me and it will rott in a dark corner after 4 weeks :(
Now I know what you used to take the nice picture of the lunar eclipse!!! Beautiful camera! You could have bought a really nice pottery wheel instead!!!! :o)
i actually have a really nice amaco pottery wheel back home in rochester but i havent had a chance to bring it down to philly. and it was a great deal a retired ceramics teacher sold it to me for $100 :)... i'm better at hand-building though
You didn't buy it for $100. You 'stole' it for $100!!! Great buy. My wife likes hand building but I like throwing. Watch Simon Leach's youtube videos and you'll get that wheel down to Philly. We live in Georgia now but are from Reading, Pa. Coming up next week probably to visit family.
For the longest time I was researching on which camera to buy, A100, 400D, 40X, K10D, and the E-510. I just got the E-510 last week and I love the quality of the photos. The E-510 blew the competition away when I compared them all. Did you get both the body and lens package or did you buy them separately?

@lightsuit What do you need 21MP for? Are you making billboard sized enlargements? You don't need more than 3MP to print an 8"X10".
