  • It wouldn't have turned out like that if the "sad" kid was black...

  • there we go boy....atta kid!!!

  • even if the guy told him to give the ball back, it bothers me that the mom didn't even turn around to thank him. -.-

  • May God Almighty bless that kid's parents . They've raised him well ! And may God bless the entire family .

  • I don't know if the Ian was scared because the guy at 0:33 was telling him to give it to the younger kid. And that's also probably why the mother didn't even thank Ian so much at 0:40 because she was busy thanking the other guy (from her gesture at 0:40.) I'm happy the kid got something better cuz he easily could've refused.

  • theres an old man down the bottom telling him to do it...

  • cool kid. raised well.

  • You can tell, he was stoked when he got the ball, but his reaction of the the other kid touched him, in a way ADULTS have either forgotten to, or can't feel.

  • The kid didn't even think about it. He saw the kid and gave him the ball.

  • beautiful

  • if you do good things, good things happen to you..nice!

  • In some way it bothers me a bit, so much is made out of doing the "right thing." But, when I think of the millions of people who saw the REAL goodness in young Americans, I feel very proud. Can you imagine the pride his parents must feel? As Americans, he represents all that is good about our Country.

  • For those who claim Ian deserves no credit because he "just did what an adult told him to do," I respectfully disagree. Watching closely, I think Ian was merely informed that ball was intended for Nicholas (he hadn't seen the toss) and so CHOSE to see that Nicholas got it. Even if he was "told" to hand it over, Ian could have refused like many others would have (and arrogantly too). Ian's generosity is an example worth following. GOOD FOR YOU, IAN!

  • @mjcamck I totally agree. He could have said "STFU, I got the ball" and that would have ended it. But he had compassion and as a result, got more then he would have had he kept it.

  • eww drop your balls, you did a good thing but gee

  • that's pretty good karma

  • you go kid.you rock and you did the right thing.

  • Wow. I guess our generation isn't full of retards! Good on ya' kid!

  • That kid did the right thing

  • soo nice

  • hahaha

  • I wish guys in my school could be nicer like this boy

  • Cute as fuck.

  • @al3xrmz It doesnt. It makes you rude, childish, obnoxious and disgusting. Feel better?

  • I WANT TO BE THIS BOY'S FRIEND

  • this has happened like a million times before this kid isn't special

  • @SK8RPWN1 your gay.

  • @al3xrmz how does me saying that make me homosexual?

  • Comment removed

  • I wish people would stop arguing over the stupid things people have posted on this clip and just enjoy the story!

  • humm. seems like there has been 41 trolls here.

how do you dislike this video.? I liked it it is awsome. good job Ian

  • That's my favourite country, where acts of kindness are so rare they hit the news when they happen ahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

  • It's nice to know that there's parents out there that still raise their kids like this one.

  • HE GETS A SIGNED BAT AND GETS TO THROW THE FIRST PITCH!!!! THE OTHER KID MUST BE JEALOUS BECAUSE ALL HE GO WAS THE BALL!!!

  • @BrookeXR38 it seems like it, but you're just making assumptions. i never brag about any kind acts, i dont even want compliments, the fact here is, people were this kind back in the day, but now days being "this" type of kind can get you international fame.

  • "YOU YOUNG MAN (circles head) are a star" lol

  • Only a diamondback fan would do this! LOL

  • This is great and all but, its kind of sad this sort of thing is such a crazy event it warrants being out on youtube. Like one person doing something nice for another person is some sort of crazy spectacular event. Shameful that this isn't a normal thing to do.

  • Good on ya, little man. =D

  • he only gave it cause the man/woman who firstly gave him the ball, told him to. check 0:33 you can see this person hand pointing at the other boy, and then the mother say something to the same person like thanking i guess.

  • @nacho90uy I saw the same thing.

  • even tho i dont him..but im proud of him.

  • Wtf? He did something nice, how is this news?

  • o wow how is this news. it's common sense, im surprised he didn;t keep it for himself. just shows us how fucked up america's morals are, when he praise people for doing the right thing.

  • @Lights0ut1109

Holy shit, this comment has loads of autism pouring out of it.

  • @attack30sowns Sensitive

  • 1.43 "that's a very well bred young man"

    We're breeding people now.

  • @nanoday1

We've been breeding people for millions of years

  • @CCTV9 That word is usually reserved for living things that aren't people. It sounds funny to me.

And when you talk about people breeding something, that usually means it's controlled somehow. Like the way we breed dogs.

    breed·ing/ˈbrēdiNG/

    Noun:

The mating and production of offspring by animals.

The activity of controlling the mating and production of offspring of animals.

  • im being a douche on youtube and nobody can stop me!

  • Kindness is for the weak.

  • keep that mentality

  • Three words: Pay it forward.

  • thats the right thing to do kid ur parent must be proud of u

  • Good job kid! Your parents must be so proud of you

  • someone did that for me

  • eh

  • good boy

  • he's the real human! :) u go boy!!

  • How did they know what his number was?

  • @whisko206 He's a very well bred young man, that's how.

  • This is awesome. Good job kid.

  • lol this is an act of kindness? nigga plz ive done much better

  • @fartmonkey200 saying the n word isn't an act of kindness.. to some people its even offensive

  • @polarbearslovemusic shut the fuck up

  • @gmenfan48 thts also unkind

  • @polarbearslovemusic no shit. the world isnt kind all the time...grow some balls and learn how to take a sucker punch and bounce back from it.

  • @gmenfan48 how do you talk like that to people in person, and don't even fuckin say you do becuz thts a lie. what is wrong with people like you who only have any courage on the internet where people don't know who you really are?

  • @polarbearslovemusic you see, thats whats wrong with the people of this country right now. We've gotten soft and have forgotten how to get things done because were so focused on "not hurting anyones feelings" or "not being offensive". The tough part of life that we ALL have to go through is to rise above the bs and look at the bigger picture...its called being independent and its what this country is built on. Condemning the word nigga when you dont know anything about the words usage is dumb

  • Comment removed

  • @polarbearslovemusic thanks for the info...and for confirming to me that you are extremely sheltered. I guarantee you arent black and would probably be beat to shit if you tell a black person to not use that word. You probably claim you are "culturally sensitive" but in reality you arent part of any other culture besides the sheltered one your in

  • @gmenfan48 Excuse me if I pay attention in school. I am not sheltered in the slightest bit. I live in one of the worst parts of Vegas so don't tell me I'm sheltered. I watched a man get stabbed to death when I was 8 years old. And yes I am black and I do have many black friends, more black friends than I do Caucasian or Mexican, and they respect me enough to know that I don't like that word. I am not culturally sensitive it just annoys me when people use racial slurs for no reason. Problem?

  • Yeah that's right, Good Parenting!!!!!!!!!

  • Yes It is true the kid was told to do it but think about it if that were u would u do what that person told u to do or u keep it to yourself? I think most of the person wont have done that so give him credit he deserves it

  • baseball sucks.

  • what in this video would make you want to dislike it?

  • @DeRidderAirsoftJTF The stupid fucking ABC news spin? We shouldn't be rewarding it. We should be accepting it as a normal good nature'd act.

  • What a good person! This moment will impact both boys lives, even if some of you commenters find it insignificant. We need to have these moments a hundred times more a day!

  • !!!! i know the kid in the middle xD

  • aun hay jóvenes de buen corazón .....

  • He only gave it to him because the guy told him to do it.

  • lmao maybe if he caught it

  • from :30 in to the point where he gives the other guy the ball, its pretty obvious hes being told to do so, you can even see the usher pointing and following him.

  • Funny how they didn't mention the guy that gave the kid in red the ball in the first place

And they make such a big deal out of it.. is an act of kindness like some kind of miracle in our society or what?..

  • Typical Brewer's fan. Crying like a bitch.

  • its just a ball.....

  • nice kid, this world needs more kids like that:D:D

  • Hey guys im a long time song righter, and a new youtube user. I just graduated from highschool and have decided to dedicate my life to my music. If you guys wanna check out my music head on over to my channel and tell me what you think. Thanks guys.

  • sure it's nice but the dude in the red shirt told him to give it to the crying kid

  • iv done that... wheres my stardome?

  • the kid didnt catch the ball it was handed to him you dumbasses

  • i got a ball signed by greg maddux and dusty baker at a cubs astros game at minute maid park, and i saw a lady get hit in the face by a Morgan Ensberg foul ball line drive during batting practice. I gave her husband that ball to give to her when she was able to recognize it... never even got a thank youuu. still think about it alot to this day :/

  • i would of punched that kid in the teeth for whining like a bitch

  • the world need more people like this!

  • ok am i the only one who saw an usher in a red shirt at 0:31 tell the boy give the ball to the other boy, the usher with grey hair can be seen at the bottom of the video

  • @TheTruthSlave I saw it too. The mom clearly gave a "thanks"-like gesture to him at :41. Freaking media calls this "news"...

  • @Neutr4lNumb3r thats controlled media for u filtering real news since the beginning of broadcasting! :)

  • that was actually really cool. good for that young man and his parents!

  • r u kidding me this kids going to do this? haha lol

  • This makes me cry :) so wonderful!

  • How can you dislike this? 24 people pressed the like button standing on their hands!

  • @ferathesko Because it's a misleading story. It's not about the boy's generosity. It's more about the boy's obedience to the stadium usher who told him to do something nice. And he gets rewarded for it, but doesn't credit the stadium usher for teaching him a good life lesson and essentially lies to the interviewer when he said he decided to do it when he saw the upset boy.

  • @longhornmed oh i see,

  • @longhornmed but it is still a nice act i mean, he did not know what rewards was waiting for him right?

  • @ferathesko Exactly, that's what make this act of kindness great!

  • @ferathesko Sure it's nice. I just wish people had better observation and critical thinking skills to analyze a story instead of listening to the media's portrayal and the game announcer's initial reaction, which in this case, is obviously not accurate. It's also a little dishonest for the boy to completely ignore the usher/adult's role in this and takes credit for being generous and being raised right by his parents, when he obviously didn't even see the crying boy.

  • @longhornmed i understand.

  • when you watch this video look very carefully. this kid is lie to us ..

  • @leksangchoezin engrish?

  • @leksangchoezin Yeah, he tells a different story then what actually happened. He should go and thank the stadium usher for telling him to give the ball to the little kid because he got a better deal with the autographed bat.

  • k I need to get a ball and give it away =o

  • Thats pretty sick. If you do good things, good things will happen to you.

  • @wicketts16

nah the world aint magical like that. bad shit happens to good ppl all the time.

  • dude he was like forced to give it up though, that man called him over

  • Ok here's the plan guys.... I'm going to get the ball....then you pretend to cry. I'll give it to you and then they'll give us free shit and put us on tv!

And that's how the perfect plan was born

  • He only gave it to him because that guy in the red down there told him to, even the mom thanked that guy in the red, not the kid who gave it to who I assume is her son. Still, he didn't have to & it was nice of him.

  • @dsballer37 Yeah, it looked like the stadium usher was telling him something, the kid was listening to that guy, not looking at how upset the other kid was. Yes, it was a nice thing to do, but kids tend to obey authorities, so it doesn't surprise me that he gave the ball to the other kid.

  • @longhornmed Yup that's the way I saw it as well.

  • look guys he didn't even want to give it back he's a brat

  • his kid is real nice kid

  • alright im not trying to hate on this kid, but the guy at 0:34 told him to give it back because the mom had originally caught the ball but dropped from her. That doesn't mean he's a bad person, it just means he didn't do it voluntarily;)

  • @omar0612 wtf are u talking about?? lmfao

  • @omar0612 ...he did do it voluntarily...it was his choice nobody made him

  • @omar0612

Step 1: Get a nice clean pair of glasses.

    Step 2: Zoom in

Step 3: Re-watch the video. The kid in front of the older gentleman was giving him money and the guy leaned in to take it. .. ..

  • That's just the right thing to do.

  • awwwww.

  • it's a baseball...

  • @SK8RPWN1 Its not the object, its the action.

  • that was nice

  • nice

  • Too many haters, get a goddamn life.

  • Too cute, beautiful.

  • this video is so gay

  • @zuloon What the fuck is wrong with you?

  • @zuloon you're gay you fagit

  • OMG, so based thank you basedgod, FUCK NIGGAS UP, jk hes a whackass trick

  • wow what a great story

  • A nice gesture..unexpected.. a heartwarming act of kindness.

Good for him and his parents.. In this society of narcissism and greed..

his was an inspiration.. a simple thing... we need more of it...

  • the squeaky wheel gets the grease

  • omfg its a fucking baseball geez

  • @MichaelJordan901 to a 12 yr old it's more than just a baseball. Plus, it's become a big deal based on the fact that most people wouldn't be willing to do something this generous.

  • @MichaelJordan901 fucking hater, lol.

  • fucking stupid video

  • Why are they acting like the kid just rescued someone from a fire?

It's just a damn ball. I will never understand American mentality.

  • @Mephitinae America Baseball is our biggest past time sport. Kids look up to being a baseball Pro ever since they were old enough to understand the game. This kid could of been like any other prick out in the world and take the ball and not give it to somebody that would mean alot more to them then just a ball. Seeing nobody in this world gives a dam about respect this little boy saw a kid who really wanted it and did a good act that more people should do in society. Get the picture dumbass?

  • @burton4snowboarding

The kid himself said "it's kinda like natural", and he's right. He did exactly what any considerate person would, and should do.

Not acting like a dick doesn't make you a hero. If this passes off as some grand display of benevolence in America, it's no wonder your country has the biggest prison population in the world.

  • @Mephitinae Sure we have alot in prison but not clearly as much to say were a bad country. With poverty going in most southern states alot more crimes are being committed. With the way the economy is going now people that are in need of money will do anything to get a few cents in their hands.Even if that means going to jail for it.No wonder why its huge, but that doesnt mean that everybody in their is a "dick" and could care less. All im saying is this kid did a good act and we need more of that.

  • @Mephitinae Are you fucking stupid?!, It was a kind act of generosity.

  • wow!!

  • this kid is a fucking homosexual.

  • Are you kidding me this kid is going to do this lol

  • he was hottt . (:

  • @gerfall he was ! (:

  • "If you do good thing, good things will happen to you" spoken like a wise young man, great work little man, Love is the solution <3

  • THAT'S KICK ASS.
