i don't think it should have been closed out in 6. granted, there were certainly some questionable calls but lakers played harder and made their free throws at the end. i actually think the kings blew it way back in game 3. remember when the kings were blowing the lakers up in that game and then couldn't in bounce the ball at the end allowing the lakers to score like 11 or 14 straight points? i think that gave the lakers hope and a bit of confidence. they believed they could come back on them.

If they had taken care of business in game 4 when all Divac had to do was box out and secure a rebound instead he tips the ball right to horry for the game winning shot. If they had done that, since they won game 5 anyway, there wouldn't be a game 6 and we wouldn't be having this conversation. What do you think about that?

It was an interesting decision by phil to go with shaq for the last shot at the end of regulation instead of kobe or even horry. Kobe had to really be in a team without shaq or else he would have always been under the shadow of shaq.

phantom fouls or not, the Queens just didn't have what it takes to win a championship series. i see you've neglected to mention the countless free throws the Quees missed in that game 7 while they were ahead and ultimately allowed the lakers to come back in the game. how about the air ball peja stojakovic(excuse the spelling) shot that could have barried the lakers right before the OT? bottom line, the Queens choked big time. webber was afraid to take the big shot. he kept passing it to bibby.

i don't think it should have been closed out in 6. granted, there were certainly some questionable calls but lakers played harder and made their free throws at the end. i actually think the kings blew it way back in game 3. remember when the kings were blowing the lakers up in that game and then couldn't in bounce the ball at the end allowing the lakers to score like 11 or 14 straight points? i think that gave the lakers hope and a bit of confidence. they believed they could come back on them.

The lakers came in over confident and your right the longer they stayed in the series the better they got and the worse the Kings got, but it was still supposed to be over in 6.

i could say the same in game 5. refs did not call the a foul and would have prevented bibby from making that 3. so quit your yapping about crooked refs. the kings did not choke in game 7. both teams played at their best this game. in the end the lakers had the will power and thats what got them the "W" this was the best conference finals in history. every game was worth watching and had me jump out of my seat.

Of course they did, because the NBA have always been pro-Lakers. Stern wanted the Lakers, not the Kings.
I'm from Austrlia, and because i was only about 9 at the time of this Season, I only discovered this controversy around a month ago, looking at look-backs on previous seasons. This was an absolute disgrace, the Lakers were lucky to win Game 6, let alone the series. And the NBA should be ashamed of themselves.
