This is my first time watching this movie. It's a very good adaptation of one of my favorite Lovecraft stories.

Lovecraft villains always have a god complex. Isn't it interesting that Lovecraft and Herbert West have the same psychometric profile? Same's true for George Lucas and Emperor Palpatine.

Thankx for posting. I think the best HP Lovecraft movies were in the 80's & early 90's. After that they seemed to just make bad ones.

Competent movie adaption of the only novel H.P. Lovecraft wrote in his lifetime, the THE CURIOUS CASE OF CHARLES DEXTER WARD. Love the ash salts meat monsters that were failed carnal resurrections kept in their basement pits. Necromancers doing the great work while piling up bodies.
