I'm looking to adopt one soon and I just want to know what you do to get him socialized and how he reacts to people. I've had a dog before but I wasn't very good at training her so I'm kind of new at this. What kind of treats do you give him and whats a good way to make it so he isn't agrressive toward strangers?
@VivaLeChat soft meaty treats are the best avoid the crunchy bisquit type, and just get the dog used to you approaching people that way he'll just be relaxed if youre relaxed
its acutally a pretty funny story, i was watching cops and there was a dog from the k9 unit and sam started barking along(he was like 10 weeks maybe 11) so i looked up videos of dogs barking pressed play while saying speak and giving a hand signal...he caught on pretty quick with the treats and now he can do the verbal command or the hand signal...i just tap my mouth for the hand signal
I want to pick him up and hug :)
