I think you might either live far away from most of the servers or have a bad internet connection, because I can't think of any reason you can't find servers. There usually isn't a lot of people on, but there are usually plent of servers.

That indicator shows how many players are assisting you, who "Gordon Freeman" is (first player to join gets followed by NPCs) and how many of your allies are dead/alive.

congrats. you make synergy seem a lot more fun that it was the last time i played atleast (quite the while ago). i stopped playing really because there were too many mingers that would cause the team to lose completly on purpose by either killing critical props or NPCs or such.

still, you made it seem quite fun.

Thank the Syn Mod team. They heard stories of people on Syn destroying the critical stuff, running cars off bridges, losing Alyx, and the fixed a lot of the activities that allowed people to do this. The famous poison zombie glitch in EP2 was fixed most recently.

What was the famous poison zombie glitch??

In the zombie warehouse/factory area (just before getting a car), a poison zombie breaks a door in front of you. If anyone but what the game considered "Gordon Freeman" (that is, the first player to join the game) tried to open the door, the zombie would not break open the door and it couldn't be opened by anything else. The map would have to be restarted.
