Its actually about the death of billie joe's (lead singer) fathers death ("like my fathers come and past") He died seven years before this song was written. Still a sad song and very applicable to the war and how people feel about it.

After reading over all of these comments I feel sorry for you and for the video. It's a tad choppy but Disney movies (for anyone who has watched them as an adult) aren't the happiest of movies. And they tend to stand out as happy memories of childhood (for me at least). What better way to honor someone's memory than to think of the good times? The clips work rather well with the song (no matter what comments may come after this) and you did a fairly good job at stitching them together.
