  • Stock engine & all?

  • This is the real ZL1 !!!

  • That's pretty slow.....just saying.

  • @hiddengoth0814 Your mom is pretty slow.....just saying.

  • @SuperJeepz Hey now, no need for the mom jokes. I was simply saying I expected faster numbers. Pretty car seems to be well built. Just expected alil more.

  • the 427 is back. its bad ass

  • What size is a ZL1

  • idk that boss is cutting it quite close to that!.. compare fords 5.0 to chevys 6.2.. the mustang walks all over the camaro.. i think for 2012 we got a good match up .. u defintly cant go wrong buying either vehicle!

  • @yourcomingoffstupid UHm no Mustang's Will never come close to camaro's ever! the only mustang that walks all over the2011 is the 2011 shelby gt500 because the new 2011 camaro's are but ugly and slow as hell

  • Holy sheeet. I really wish I had been wearing pants because now I just got jizz all over my keyboard

  • lol, nice car but nothing a termi with bolt-ons couldn't do...cheaper.

  • @MrTowerMatt dude, this ain't the fast and the furious, you can't get every car out there to break 10 secs. Def. not with bolt-ons, for that kind of power it will take a serious engine build

  • @daBlade80 Not really dude, doesn't take much for some cars to run 10's. Most cars with inline fours or sixes need boost and/or spray to run that quick, but the 2011-2012 5.0's can run 10's with just some slicks, headers/exhaust, CAI and a tune. Which are all bolt-ons, incase you didn't notice. Plus, those mods will actually help your gas mileage and emissions as well as power/torque.

  • Camaros will always be king of the pony cars. The end.

  • Nice weight transfer. This thing is set up well.

  • @Warblade118 hmmmm, I just re-watched the video after reading your comment and you're right, that is nice. I wonder, you think they mounted the tranny in the back and used a corvette transaxle on it?

  • @daBlade80 Can't say. But this kinda gives you an idea of what the ZL1 motor is capable of with a few tweaks.

  • @Warblade118 you mean heavy modification. that was obviously a built motor with a custom grind cam im willing to bet he has 10-15k in mods

  • @MrCpe9775 lol that comment is 2 months old. How many pages back did you have to go to find it? Slow day at the office? :) You're probably right. It likely is modded I don't know. There isn't enough information to say how modded it is. All it says is ZL1 camaro.

  • @Warblade118 you could say a slow day i work midnights so its all i do. I get paid $20 bucks an hour to troll youtube.

  • @MrCpe9775 lol were do i sign up?

  • @Warblade118 not as fun as ou might think. i work at a prison so when they wake up its instant stupidity the rest of the day

  • @MrCpe9775 nope look it up the zl1 camaro from the 4th gen(93-02,i think)you could order this

  • Jizzed in my pants.

  • thats faster than a stock Bugatti Veyron in the 1/4 haha.

  • That ZL1 has a 572ci motor in it and is owned by GM has been for years. Theres actually 2 of them the other is yellow. GMMG offerd GM parts and still retained the GM warranty much like the Don Yenko Camaros. There is also 3 different stages to the car some have LS6 some have the 427.

  • it's automatic isn't it?

  • @Dissez503 the camaro in this video?? no its manual but the 302 boss it's in competition with is though.

  • @Camaroboys520 dang, then he's hella fast at shifting =p

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW it's amazing how this Camaro has NO WHEELSPIN! AMAZING!

  • YES I did hit 9:55 @ 144.30MPH

This is my ZL1 Camaro Z28

    Purchased in Cash...

the only thing that is aftermarket is the Rockford Fosgate Auido System & The Bosch +4 Platimum Spark Plugs

This car came to me 100% From the factory with 1053 KM on it.

it is the LAST of the Chevy Super Cars

For more videos of this camaro search ZL1_Camaro_Z28 on Google.ca or on IRC as DaveGotTheHerbs

This Car has eaten Vipers, V8 Ferrari's a Corvette Z06 (Retard Driver) and all JAP CRAP ever raced.

  • This Camaro here doesn't appear to be one of the 69 that GMMG produced about 5 years ago.

  • @LS1424

I don't believe GMMG had anything to do with this car.

This is more or less a 1993 GM test mule for ZL1 projects. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I would love to have a 4th gen Phase III ZL1 too! Your friend is a lucky guy.

Is the DH Camaro a wide body?

  • @RedCellx6 Yeah, your right. I was attempting to make the same point. His DH car is a wide body, #30 of 30 its green and in the GMMG video. His ZL1 is #65 of #69. He also has an original 69 ZL1 also number 65. He has quite a collection. I guess I will have to be happy with my heads/cam 01 Camaro SS!

  • There were 69 2002 Camaros built by GMMG (General Motors Management Group). My friend has both a 2002 ZL1 phase III and a Dick Harrell Camaro. Both cars are awesome and make over 600 hp. Check out the website and the video. Google GMMG. I tried to post link, but it wouldn't let me.

  • What's this slander of Ford? They're on the same team right now (incredibly pathetic), and that team is in the ditch. Unfortunately, because both Ford and GM have made several conscious decisions to rip their customers off, the competition for these cars are Hyundais and Nissans. When (not if) the American companies build their reputations back up, they can go back to the good old days with these feuds.

  • the GMMG ZL1's have GM badges, because they were real Camaros, that were modified by GMMG. a GM badge does not make it a ZL1, but it does make it a real Camaro. i can goto a GM dealer and buy a 2011 Camaro, and put all the ZL1 badges on it i want, but that doesnt make it a ZL1. and GMMG is not a GM shop. they might modify GMs but they arent associated with GM.

  • @impreziv Like I said you can see the GM invoice sticker's for yourself.......LOL your like the fool who refused to believe the Earth was round........Three different people trying to educate this fool, I'm done with dumbass ford fan boy

  • @impreziv Your a fool with false information fabricated from jack shit, stop hating on the mighty ZL1 and bow to the king son!!!

  • I am so impressed. Not only under my Favorites but so Inspired. I so want to see a video of you at a stop light and some guy in any Stang try to get by you. Best of luck of them keeping up blocks behind you in the Race.

  • If you were lucky enough to have zl1 camaro back in 69, all you needed for a low 10 sec ride was a cam change and slicks.

All aluminum big block 427 that reved like the DZ302 while putting down 600 hp back in 69! This prototype is an awesome tribute.

  • @RedCellx6 the ZL1s werent even close to 600hp. GM rated them at 425hp, and that was actually an overestimate. in reality, they dynoed at 375hp at the crank. independent magazine tests were able to dyno 524hp by changing the Carb, tuning the iginition, long-tube headers with no mufflers, all engine accessories removed, and no air filter. still not even close to 600hp. the same tests also proved a stock 1/4 mile time of 13.1 seconds.

  • @impreziv First off stop using wiki as your source of information because it's wrong

In 2002 ZL1 were available from the factory in the three different stages and its no secret, here are the fact's educate yourself

In 1969 the ZL1 was underrated at 435HP, report's from owner's showed that they actually put down around 550WRHP on the dyno and they ran 11's easy

  • @impreziv

The ZL1 was officially rated @430 hp( Camaro and Vette.) The most conservative rating GM made for any engine ever.

Many unofficial reports from that day were 550 hp bone stock.

I actually have magazines from 1969 sitting here and have owned seven F-bodies. I have never heard the words ZL1 and 375hp in the same sentence before your post here. Where are you getting your info??

  • WHAT WAS THE 60FT??

  • not crazy about the looks of this era of camaro, but i LOVE watching the front end rise up a little bit when they take off :D

  • fuckin sweet, and the camaro did that with no supercharger lol

  • well there was only 1 ever produced, and its not even legal to be driven on the street lol... so idk how you got lucky enough to get this video but this is certifiable car porn lol.. it was made in 1993, it was kind of a bet/dare type of thing, and was the only 1 ever made since the original 69 in '69, fuckin beast, id love to see ford top this thing

  • @eddy2891 I believe GMP swapped the front end to a 98-02. It was featured on Motor Trend TV with a newer frontend and it was sold at Barret-Jackson with the newer frontend ($170,000 was the final bid if I remember correctly). I seen a pic in Hot Rod Mag of it with its origanal 93 frontend. I liked it better with the 93 frontend.

  • can you say traction?

  • FUCKIN CAMARO POWER!!!!

  • Man, only if they actually produced alot of these instead of like 2. I mean it IS essentially a street car without the slicks but chances are you will never see one, EVER.

    770 horsepower........mmmmmmm

You don't see any Fords (Yes I do like Ford) or ESPECIALLY any jap cars running 9.55 in the 1/4 from the factory.

  • lol there was one on Ebay for 95grand a month ago lol

  • Was it a 572 or a 427?

  • cant remember

  • Dude I found one from Baret Jackson it was the 1993 one. It sold for 150 grand!!!! I bet it's worth it though. It runs 9's and it's a HUGE collectors car. I'd give my left nut for that thing lol.

  • lol i wouldnt do that i would give my ex-girlfriend lol. but id imagine you can find one if you look around long enough lol and i ou rich enough buy one xD i want an original ZL1 personally first gen Camaros FTW!!!

  • ...........I meant it as a joke lol.

You probably won't find one ever again. They made like 2 of them.

  • @xZZxTakedown the 1969s were made with the 427, the ONLY one built after that was built in 93 and it used the 572

  • @xZZxTakedown Im a mustang fan but i gotta hand it to the chevy factory power.

  • @xZZxTakedown That thing is quick as hell!

  • I WANT THAT ENGINE

  • see WHAT IM TALING ABOUT to bad GM is not into producion but they probably will as they see the marqet on other brands prformance GM has alot of secrets of making the better prformance very low nombers at low horse power and mid numbers of gas mileage this are sometings oter brands havent,. been able to get and thats the secret of their sucses and whats best ;prices are very low ALOT OF BANG FOR YOUR BOCK

  • yet another car im pissed I couldnt pick up at barrett-jackson

  • no STV vehicle including the gtx-1 ever made a 9.55 pass stock this camaro may have had a pretty penny price tag but it runs very close 2 the gtx-1 zr1 but ass raped em to bad gm was so stupid to not have kept it and tryed 2 make double then wat it cost 2 build em

  • id take a boss anyday

  • personally... in my opinion... who gives a fuck if its a ZL1? The motherfucker runs 9.55 q/m's. I think taking pride in something you have built is much more gratifying than taking pride in something you bought off an assembly line. The exact reason unless its over my head, no one touches my fucking Trans Am except for me, I take pride in everything i do to my car just as this person here does, call it what they want man. You can make up names, what do you think the manufacturers did? lol.

  • Dont get me wrong either, Im not saying this isnt the ZL1 or calling it a "Legend" lol, Im just saying if it isnt who gives a rats ass? Not this guy, Id pay more for that than the new camaro. Value is fabricated with blood, sweat, tears and gasoline in my book. Not a robotic arm and a pretty paint job.

  • @SocomGrizzly oh so true my friend

  • WHERE ARE YOU AT FORD???? 2006 and yet STILL NO mustang has done this.....LOL all name, all show and no go.....LOL P.A.T.H.E.T.I.C!

  • @supraturboLBJ are you implying that no mustang has run 9.5... Because if thats the case then your definitely mistaken

  • @supraturboLBJ theres plenty of Fords that have run 9.5. are you under the impression that this is a stock car? it certainly isnt.

  • @impreziv actually the ZL1 does come from the GM factory like this.......Do some research

  • @supraturboLBJ do you even know what you're talking about? this is a 93-02 Camaro. there was never any ZL1's made in that generation. the only ZL1's produced were in 1969, and there was only 69 of them made. and no ZL1s ever came from the factory able to run 9.55 stock. the original ZL1's were lucky to run 13 flat.

  • Dont take my word for it see for your self

    gmmgregistry dot c o m / id80

  • @supraturboLBJ i don't know if you're confused, or just stupid, but GMMG is not GM. some aftermarket tuning company, building customized Camaro's isn't considered stock, or 'from the factory'.

regarding your claim of owners reporting 550whp from stock ZL1's, i would have to see a dyno chart to believe it. i would certainly believe that a ZL1 would make 550whp, with headers, and a

  • @impreziv GM deal's directly through GMMG it's a part of GM, like Shelby is to ford......As seen in one of the picture's in the link I provided, it clearly show's a PICTURE OF THE GM INVOICE for the ZL1........Now your going to say that GM is lying next LOL I'm done with this fool some idiot's just refuse to learn

  • @impreziv BTW about the 1969 ZL1 COPO I don't care what you believe it is well known that all the car companies were underrating there car's at the time, but oh no not the ZL1 that's the one exception right?? LOL your a tool a lost ford fan boy can't see the fact's posted in your face I feel sorry for retard's like you

  • @impreziv Sorry to bust your bubble but the supra guy is right, The 2002 ZL1 actually comes with a GM sticker with ZL1 all over it.......But you don't have to believe no one you can google ZL1 GM sticker under images and it will pop up, GMMG is a GM shop, I personally used to own a Corvette with a ZL1 package 454ci V8........Also the 1969 ZL1 COPO's ran 11.50's from the factory and were seriously underrated from the factory.

  • @supraturboLBJ well the new 5 liter shits on the new ss.

  • @IHateOnPeopleHella Not to mention that the Mustang and Barracuda were the only reason Chevy made the Camaro in the first place lol, but whatever, GM fanboys will be GM fanboys.

  • @supraturboLBJ dumb fuck that camaros not stock god your retarded.. i bet you there are plenty of stangs that have done that... hell id love to see that zl1 go up against a steeda modified supersmake that has 876 horsepower.. also id love to see it go against a henneesy tuned supersnake which has 932 horspower.. i love camaros but there are plenty of mustang that would analy rape that thing..

  • @northerncustomsracin the ones u just named arent stock either jackoff...so if ur gonna pull those names a HENNESSY (which you sp wrong btw) camaro would rape the snake

  • @northerncustomsracin Hey dumb ass check the ZL1 web site there is three different packages you can order from GM this car's engine came directly from GM just how it is.....My god you're fucking stupid this is well known.

  • @northerncustomsracin I'm gonna butt in here and remind you of one key factor those 2 cars you just named dont have to match that car with and thats TRACTION

  • this is the 93 prototype, they later uppgraded the front end to the 98 style. its a real zl1 if there ever was one.

  • this is not a real Zl1. this is just fan made

  • That´s a fucking legend

  • so this was only a concept, rite?

  • The first was 1969 (or 67) not sure? So THETRAVDAWG is right...also there was 93, 99, an 02. The one in this video doesnt look like the 770hp ZL1...because the 770hp one had a large wing on the back and no ground affects. Im not sure which one this is?? But the 770hp ZL1 DID do the quarter mile in 9.55 which is better then ANY Mustang EVER built (unless it is a drag car)...Also GM made the ZL1s 5 speed manuals, and not 6?? Unsure why?

  • actually its running 9.35@148 now and yes this is the same zl1 thats making 770hp

  • Did anyone notice this car was a auto trans car the one that ran the SVT Boss mustang was a 5-spd manual transmission car.

  • This isn't the ZL1 that GM did...this is by the GCMG company which did the blackbirds for that racer etc. I can't believe that the 400 HP that came with it did this much....Unless it's the ZL1 that I thought never saw the light of day which you can find on here all the time. The one had 600 HP and the other 700I think...IDK not enough info. on these cars to learn much of anything about them.

  • The 770 hp you mean? That one I believe did do 9.55. The 600hp one was in the 11's.

The 2002 model is way quicker than the 1993 Prototype.

  • this is the one GM made with 770hp from the 572 and they were sold to the public

  • no the 572 made 720 hp get it straight...cus i know all bout the small and big block chevy crates..

  • I got it straight......770hp its a well known fact your the only idiot I have ever seen to try to claim other wise....go bother somebody else kid

  • actaully the crate is 720hp and this ZL1 camaro is pushing 770hp. they ran a 9.35 later on in the same car after they tubbed it and put bigger slick on it and went with more of a drag setup

  • oic, thanks for the info

  • Ford envy tha king of all muscle cars tha Camaro zl1

  • Man, there was one just for sale, it was red with the phase 3 package, but he wanted 150 grand for it:(, just out of my price range, lol.

  • @camarosam must have been a gmmg, intimidator, or dick harrell (all the same) cause there was only 1 93 zr1 ever made

  • sweet sweet car

  • Actually that car in the video was a prototype back in 1993. Then they swapped the front end to the LS1 style and did some other stuff to the 572.

  • bad ass car that car is the background on my computer

  • u, hate to break it to ya guys, the original ZL1 was built in 68 and 69.

  • actually the ZL1 was built for the 69 model year and aslo in 2002 the ZL1 name was brought back and put on these sweet cars...but it had its price...i think they were priced at like $80,000 sumthing...im probebly alittle of of the pricing but yes there actually were ZL-1's built in 2002...however my fav. is still the 1969 :P :D

  • oh yeah, i know there was some in 02 also, there was 3 or 4 years all together they were produced.

  • oh kk just making sure u knew :D awesome cars anyway

  • but did it do 9.55 seconds?... -_-..... :D

  • ZL1 came out in 1969, 1993 and then in 2002 (from the prototype of 1993)

  • There was also a 99 with some crazy huge 694ci motor or something like that.

  • bad ass

  • this camaro with a 572 was made only as a showcase for GM, around the 90s. Car was never made for sale. The car is stock, as is no nitros, turbos, or supercharger, only a big block.

  • No the Zl 1 was built in 2000 and you could buy one from GM for around $100k. A guy in Greensboro, NC has one he bought straight from GM he drives it to work on fridays. Great car.

  • the few that were sold only had 600HP the real ZL1s had the corvette C5R air intake on it which gave moves it to 770HP

  • this car is a production 572 i no for suree

  • Factory ZL1 - Very limited production

Basically built from the ground up for drag racing.

  • a new camaro with a 572. 572's werent even out yet when the camaro production was stopped. the zl1 had a 427.

  • that camaro was a prototype in 2000 it has a 572 in it the 572 back then was probably just a prototype engine and if you dont believe me look it up on google or something

  • Try 1993, that's when they first introduced the 572 to the ZL1 Camaro.

  • No! This car was not offered to the general public. This was a prototype that Cheverolet had in the mid 90's. It was all engine which made that time even more amazing!! Look up the fastest production Camaro...1969 ZL1..only 69 were ever created..ran 10.5 ET Qt. miles! 427 AL block..and it was all stock!...This car spanked all hemi's and Ford's with no problem!

  • I can assure you that it would cost a lot more then $95,000 to put that Camaro together. I built an exact copy and it finished up at $210,000

  • "they came from factory like that".what factory? it sure wasn't a GM factory. show us the dealer that sold a new camaro with a 572.

  • ohh it was...you could get one for $95,000

  • well they came from factory like that, so...i guess its factory stock although there pretty tuned up, i think that one has a 572 on it.

  • wow...for a stock...thats pretty good.

  • who said it was stock? am i missing something?

  • OMFG
