@elinheartstristin Short ones? These are true apbt's. the 'short' ones, which actually are the fat cur ones, are either American Staffordshire Terriers or American Bullies. Both different breeds, this is the American Pitbull Terrier.

A properly trained pit bull does not need a 3-inch thick spiked leather collar with a freaking anchor chain. A properly trained, correct pit bull should be able to walk on a normal leash and collar just like any Labrador retriever. Either these poor dogs on anchor chains are just used as status symbols or they were not properly trained. Many of them also look half starved.

Just like a hound dog will try to haul off after it's prey and a retriever will try to retrieve, APBTs will react to dogs. End of story.
