Hey guys. I'm battling from schizophrenia. I'm not asking for money or views or anything, but just for support and for people to hear me out. My psychiatrist said to let people know about your problem, but everyone thinks I'm weird and my family cannot understand or take me seriously. It looks like he has Tardive Dyskinesia due to the anti-psychotic drugs. Watch the unusual facial, mouth and tongue movements. Schizophrenic brains are the same as other peoples until they are given the drugs - the drugs cause the brain damage.
my boyfriend had it and he ended up commiting suicide and i was gutted. I feel for people with this disorder as i have depression and a personality disorder and have been in and out of psychiatric units all my teens but i know that this is far worse, i just hope they treat it for people who are suffering
I am learning about Schizophrenia back in 2004 I had my brother hospitalized and he was diagnosed being a walking schizophrenic and the medications he is currently taking my brother all he does is sleep and I want to know is the sleeping a normal thing for people who are actually taking their meds?
@whiskeygurl70 it sounds to me that ur brother maybe over medicated. i've been on clozapine for 4 years and the higher my dosage was the longer i slept. maybe the right dose will motivate him to live a fuller life. i hope this is informative.

I notice his jaw rotation as a side affect of the pharmaceutical medication he is on. I also learned that the hearing center of the brain stimulated by magnetic resonance calms or even temporarily stops the voices and or hallucinations. Wonder when integrative medicine will be taken seriously?
They talk about large rounded ventricles in an MRI of someone with Schizophrenia. Chris had small ventricles that were rounded. Is there anything difinitive about an MRI that can confirm or eliminate the possibility of Schizophrenia in that individual?
Schizophrenia is a behavioural disorder, not a brain one. This video is quite frankly a massive embarresment to common sense intelligence. No mathematics neccesary here...
@klindred eeeeeeek. wrong. it's both. ask yourself how can behaviour be disordered if the brain is fine. well, your behaviour obviously can be very peculiar without your brain having specific dysfunctions - it's just a part of your personality. but it's different with schizophrenia. it is a brain disorder and it causes the observed symptoms. for instance, hallucinations are a product of a brain malfunction. you are pretty quick in your judgments, though...

You seem to be confusing the brain with the mind, which is a common mistake. Yes behaviour is linked to the brain but beyond that you haven't got a fucking clue.
@klindred There isn't brain disorders in children? I was born with Dandy walkers, a brain disorder that often paralyzes children, but i was one of the lucky ones. The brain and the mind are one in the same. We are our bodies. There's nothing more to us than the atoms that make up our body.
