1981 -wow -as a teenager travelin ona friday night an hour and a1/2 to mt. paran to see Mylon-an incredible event - and experience ! never forget it- his music helped me thru high school alot- having his professional background- his trials and his testimony - awesome.
Thank you, Mylon, for having the guts to blaze a trail that others are still following. Heard from one of my friends in the business that Mylon was one of the first (or perhaps THE FIRST?) to produce a concept video. Beautiful. Never stop being original, hearing what the Spirit says, and having the guts to follow that holy leading!
I will always remember playing this Casette in my player over and over again at work.. man that was WAAAAY before CD and DVD! LOL!!! anyways, This "traditional" Penticostal sister at work and it was just too much for her! WHAT IS THAT!!!!????? she asked shocked!! GOD IS NOT PLEASED!!!!! Poor thing ... she just didnt "get it" God Bless her.
Remember seein this vid back in the day and was buggin out because for a Christian video, it wasnt "CHEESY" It had this real cool vibe to it, a compelling storyline, and brilliant vocals. It was real and edgy, something that was immediately appealing to the younger man that i was. WOW Christ is for EVERYBODY! I remember feeling, and it really helped to fortify me in my walk. Shame that THIS generation didnt get a chance to hear him.
The guy on the motorcycle is STAN COATES - He also played the keyboards and arranged the vocals on this song - FYI - It was the very Christian video on MTV. Cool trivia from a vinrage CCM lover.
i met mylon backstage at a concer at my high school auditorium in the 80's, they had russ taff, sheila walsh, and mylon and brokenheart, i asked for his autograph and he said "you waited all this time for that? that's silly!" russ taff was really nice. those were the days.
One of the true pioneers of christian Rock .. I love this song ,and will do a remake soon. I saw him a few times in 83-84 . Awesome to find this video . The first christian rock video also I ever saw
I remember going to a mylon lefever concert when I was like 7 or 8 years old, I will never forget it, it was my first concert.
I really liked the music back then, like russ taff, mylon, degarmo and key, Steve Taylor, AMy Grant, and stuff, it was good stuff, and You cannot be a christian without listening to The Rez band.. they totally rock
This song is actually from the album "Brand New Start" before the "Sheeps In Wolves Clothing" album. All of Mylon's CD's are available on his web site for his ministry! I got saved at a Mylon and Broken Heart concert on October 23rd, 1987! He still preaches as strong as ever and has some great teachings on CD and cassette. I will FOREVER love this brother!
This is the song which enabled me to resist the temptation to return to the world of outlaw bikers after giving my life to Jesus. I was having an especially difficult day-- motorcycles everywhere and the "call of the wild" was really bad that day. God knew I needed to hear that song on my car radio right at the moment I needed to hear it and the urge left before the song ended. Prise God.
One of the BEST, most memorable concerts I ever saw was Mylon & Broken Heart in Charlotte, NC on the "Crank It Up" tour! I really miss their presence in the industry! Can't live forever, though. Thanks for the post! Great memories!
Correction this song is from the CD Mylon LeFevre Brand New Start from 1982 is not from Sheep In Wolves Clothing.

I went to most of Mylons concerts during the heyday of 80's christian music. Thanks for letting me know how old I am now. ;)

I must be old as you. Mylon talked to backstage for nearly an hour. I'm not crazy about what he's into now but he helped me alot like 20 years ago.

? What's mylon into now? Last I heard he had a heart attack and was doing something with a tv preacher. Has he joined up with todd bentley? ;)

This isn't live. This is a prerecorded video which was designed to run on 80s-era MTV.
