  • that is scale flying

    and a scale lady ;-))

  • That would be bad if it crashed

  • Great job of bringing back a stately aircraft.

Magnificent flight and a perfect landing.

Hats off to the Santa Barbara Radio Control Modellers!

  • A fine bit of flying.

  • Great model, great piloting! Thanks for posting!

  • LOL Gran Turismo 5 :D

  • A beautiful bit of piloting. It showed the grace and sheer pleasure of the craft.

  • Writing from a small island right in the middle of nowhere (Mauritius - Indian Ocean) , I am definitely not an American, but I do know one thing (like zillions outside the USA) : Ragtime was no longer in fashion in 1918 America; it had been replaced by what was the called 'Jazz' and then by what was to be known as 'Charleston'. À bon entendeur...

  • How did you get a piano out on to the river like that

  • I think that Loughead was the original spelling of his name when he built the plane in Santa Barbara. He later changed it to Lockheed.

  • She sounds like shes gonna cry. She is suicidal.

  • Beautiful plane, great flying! And without a pilot in the cockpit, no less!

  • great landing

  • Wow, Lockheed has come a long way. Great video.

  • que tanta mierda habla esta cucha?

  • HOLY - that grating VOICE. AAAAAHHHHHHH....

  • perfect text book landing

  • It looks like a flying outhouse...

  • look on de catalina

  • y electric????

  • That's what I'm talking about!

  • Nice landing!!!!

  • im sorry i didnt ready the description it explains it all. thank you :)

  • @12WDH12 the chick says its lockheed

  • ouai pas mal

  • Beautiful! Very nice video Thanks for posting

  • looks and flies like a real airplane

  • super l'avion un avion de ces années encore en vol c super

  • Isn´t the name lockheed?

  • Nah, just sounds like it. There were so may aircraft manufactures back then that virtually nobody knows about generally today.

  • very smooth landing

  • does it torque?

  • wow i didn't know a water landing like that was possible....

  • Smoooooth landing ! >>> a very good pilot.

  • che cazzo dice quella stronza?

  • The lady stops talking at 3:30, happy scrolling!

  • lol...thanks

  • @hehehaha1337 Thank you!

  • Watching paint dry.

    I gave up waiting.

  • nice landing

  • GOSH!!!!

    LESS TALKING AND MORE FLYING!!!!

    getting frustred it here!!!

  • FFS STOP TALKING IN THE VID!XD

  • Nice anding!

  • They should have put gas engiens on it!

  • why?

  • it would cause just the destruction of the plane because of the vibrations...and on the other hand it is to precious to risk a crash landing :)

  • I would like to watch this video, but how long do they talk for, cos it's very very boring.

  • i was hopeing for a crash

  • every second person think about that i think;)

  • Simplemente marabilloso, el avion,el entorno, la gente, el estado del viento, el piloto y todo realmente todo es marabilloso, felicitaciones.

  • Great music to go with this flight video! At times the aircraft looks full scale against the horizon.

  • Should have made it a teensy bit bigger.

Then could have got in and flown 'non-remote' control

  • Very cool . CLASSIC. Smooth flying piece of art. Thanks for sharing.

  • much admiration for whoever built that

  • chevere!!!!

  • "this thing has so much drag, we have to fly it at full throttle all the time" LOL. Very nice classic scale replica

  • Fair go fellas,I suspect she is the right person for that job.Well flown by the pilot. We recently had 2 rc stories on TV news and in each one the plane was flown by klutzes & crashed and looked bad for rc'ers. This was obviously a project tackled by very capable people.A pleasure to see. Now, I have a couple of Axi 2826-10's free....are there plans?!

  • 4:21 LOL that guy sleeping?

  • LOL sure looks like he is.

Unbelievable too - I mean u have a thoroughly long speech by the obscure old lady in the beginning, following a cardboard plane model doing circles and people concealing yawns. Who could fall asleep??

  • Excellent!!!

  • e cel mai super avion si si eu vreau unu

  • Lovely but music TOO loud, missed all the sounds of the wonderful replica........

  • I like the intro where the old bird is shouting and folks in the background couldn't give a s--t.

  • it wud help if that guy kept the camera till, i cn hardly c it properly, gr8 plane!

  • ooooooooooooo

  • video starts at 3:25

  • wow that plane is cool

  • dam that woman can talk at the start

  • nice flying....there is aways a prik who dont understand realy good flying

  • DAMN IT RANGTIME!!!

  • ragtime

  • my bad.

  • boring in the begining then it was cool.the music was relly cool=)

  • Nice Scale-Flying by the pilot. two laser Engines would have fit better but electric is the way to go nowdays if you dont want to have extra trouble.

  • lady was pretty boring, but i really liked the take-off !

  • old fun

  • very nice model, pitty its electric not a scale nitro or gas, but very nice job!!

  • That was amazingly beautiful. I never thought scale was interesting, but that was just incredible.. I give in, hehe.

  • Massive effort. Nicely!

  • arrghh! the bla bla bla in the start of the video...i like models NOT old ladies bla bla all day long.

  • 4:55 for a second i thought there were acrobats on the planes wing lulz.

  • Don't you mean Lockheed?? Great video though.. :) Enjoyed it.. :)

  • hah this was on my birthday i was turning 10

  • hahaha omfg look the old lady at 1:03 she wanna ask a Q then at 1:13 she want to ask something again rofl!

  • I know! Her hand goes up like 3 times in 10 seconds. lol

  • blah blah blah blah, I wish the plane had flown into her boring mouth. Cool plane though.

  • no entiendo nada mejor ablen en español jajajajaja

  • i agree..the speech could have been edited..otherwise the pilot has good rudder/aileron control..nice flat turns..and i love the electric option.i only fly electric

  • is it some coincidence that loughead rhymes with lockheed?

  • Na, the Loughead bothers were the founders of what became the Lockheed Martin corporation. They Americanized their name when they formed their second company.

  • Very professional pilot! Nice plane!.

    Get rid of the woman.

  • darn! i missed the plane cuz' i fell asleep while she was talking!

  • that plane is awesome!

  • MAKE A LOOP

  • Get on with it!

  • Magnificent model and great flying. The video was well done, too. Except that woman was really in love with the sound of her own voice.

  • this looks like the actors from the sets of one of the episodes of mister bean or sumthin u no;?

  • good pilot! nice landing! :)

  • less talk, more fly

  • If she has to give all that speil everytime the plane takes off it will be dark

  • i agree, and get rid of the blond too

  • Awesome History here people.

  • Show some respect.

This was a great generation .

You better just say thanks and move on.

Everything in this world is connected in one way or another. So thanks to them, you have your little xbox 360 or game cube to play while you sit under you mommy and daddys roof, probably at the age of 21, bad mouthing these great americans. At 17 , Some of these folks were in the air or on the ground, putting there asses on the line for future generations. They weren't sitting at home bad mouthing.

  • Great moment! amazing flight! Where is the plan now?

  • Nice plane and what a great landing!

  • that'd be funny if soulja boy was in the background!! haha i'd laugh

  • Reposting. Here is a clarification on the name confusion. Allan and Malcolm were born with the surname Loughead. Victor changed his surname to Loughead shortly after his mother remarried. Americans had trouble pronouncing the name properly so the family changed the spelling to Lockheed. However, this happened after they moved from Santa Barbara. So "Loughead" is the correct name for this plane, but most people are familiar with the Americanized name and companies, "Lockheed".

  • best water landing that I have ever seen!

  • Thanks for sharing this video. The company that they were refering too is the "Lockheed" Martin company. It does sound like they say Loughead though. You would probably get more views also through peoples searches of "Lockheed". Have a good weekend.

  • Fantástico

  • Beautiful!!!

  • very smooth flight

  • WHF i wontiidit to sink

  • Great job!

  • PERFECT LANDING AND AWESOME PLANE! theres a problem though. it needs to be gas powered so u can actually reduce speed AND increase speed. great job though. ~cowman~

  • The original prototype did use gas, but the vibrations were too much for the airframe. Hence the change to electric.

  • Excelent stuff. I thought the engines were appropriate.. gave it a refined feel to it. Would of been a lot of painstaking work to get the thing accurate and airworthy. Great taxi to the pontoon as well.Too bad it's going to be strung up!!

  • lol i like the old man or lady in the back from like 1:07 to 1:17

  • NICE BUT NO NOISE OR SMOKE

  • would of been a pissa if that guy trips and falls on2 it at the end.. nice build tho!

  • Guess alot of people should be proud of that.

Great plane and a superb flight. Well done.

  • she speaks nice english.

  • me 2!!! that woulda been awesome!

  • i was hoping it was guna wreck lol

  • Very nice. One of the best scale flying I've ever seen.

  • could she talk any more good sake just get on with it

  • that was cool, but i think that u should put a couple of nitro engines in it

  • i would of went and pushed the dude thats flying it into the water lol

  • 2 bad it didint crash

  • If i were the pilot i put it always on full throttle in fear of crashing

  • beautiful plane. flies so slow... like the real thing.

  • WAaaAAAAaaaaHH .. that was coool!!

  • Electric powered, really cool

  • Nicely built model. Must have been a challenge to put it together. Pity you could not get the name right. It's Lockheed - not Loughead!

  • you could take out about 30 spectators with that beast!

  • did you mean Lockheed?

  • i dont like that blaa blaa...

  • Lovely model, very nicely flown and at a scale speed. If there's one thing I'd have done though it would have been to put a dummy pilot in the cockpit for the flight, I'm not decrying anyone's effort though, it's truly impressive!

  • Very nicely flown with a greaser landing and taxi home to complete it. I bet the pilot was somewhat nervous with all those spectators and with such a unique model. Well done.

  • kool

  • impressive build. Glad it's going to be preserved in a museum.
