@ exactly 6 minuts into it, the G8 sounds really nice!!! i never under estimated the G8 for a second, my SRT8 gives off the same growl, but i would never mind owning a G8 ;-)

This is the ONLY video on youtube where the car is driven in the triptronic mode so we can HEAR and see exactly how this feature of the 6-speed auto works. Kudo's to you for showing us this ! It's nice to know it is a true triptronic type transmission and that it actually holds the gear up to the rev-limiter, as some cars automotically up-shift for you when you reach the rev-limiter. Awesome review !

I'm Glad Pontiac went with multi-link rear instead going cheap with a solid rear axle. Pontiac should, and could, have made the front double-wishbone.

Yes, should be in the 2008 otherwise in the 2009.

lol... it has active fuel management which shuts off 4 of the cylinders making the V8 a 54 cylinder to improve fuel economy... wtf

That's actually a really good thing.

When you're crusing on the highway you don't need all eight cylinders needlessly burning gas. The other four cylinders will come back online when you hit the accelerator.
