ok.. I have to agree, after watching it again... this was well done and funny. My comment about not being funny was meant for the actual movie meaning its not a comedy. Its a strange but very good movie that stuck in my mind as a kid after seeing it. Denis Hopper is one twisted man in that movie.

Yeah, absolutely. I was referring to the actual movie too, which I find intermittently creepy and endearing. There's a lot of warped humor to be found in Blue Velvet, just as there is in Lynch's other works. Also, you may have seen it already, but I'd be doing you a great disservice if I didn't recommend watching Twin Peaks.

I think David Lynch was trying to make Blue Velvet look as if it were shitty romantic film. Laura Dern's character was so squeaky and wholesome in order to contrast with the darkness and violence Jeffrey encounters. Anyways this trailer is hi-larious!
