Sonic Rush is a well good Sonic game, but it's not the 'BEST'. Official Nintendo Magazine UK made the mistake by saying that it's the 'best Sonic game EVER', when A. It's not even on a Sega console, B. It's got new Sonic rather than classic Sonic, and C. The old 2D Sonic games are the REAL best ones...but I know, they're just being enthusiastic and OTT. It's still a well fun game.

The bonus stages are pure fun. And i playing this for the first time was a real joyride. But, then you getting tierd of things going on the same way all the way, itsnothing but speed in this game, and to be honest, i can live with the tecno sound, but the different levels feels more like kind of different backrounds. That has been the problem for many Sonic games as the level structure from stage to stage is very close to eachoder. Its to much of the good in the end.

Oh I see, then yea, if what I'm understanding from your comment, you are right, Sonic 4 equivilences already exist. People are just excited to have a title the says Sonic 4. This seams more over hyped really, because even sonic advance 1-3 would of made perfectly good sonic 4's, except without all the extra characters. I don't think 4 is really at all worth the hype.

I suppose it might have a similar concept, but this game was actually the first game to introduce the Sonic Boost system, although it wasn't called that until the making of Sonic Unleashed.

I recommend you find and buy this, it's a DAMN fun game. 8)

I've been playing this game and let me tell you this. It may be better than all the other crap that's been produced lately, but it still doesn't even touch the quality of Sonic 2, 3, or Sonic and Knuckles. I mean, there's random HUGE pits EVERYWHERE! Doesn't that kind of kill the whole "yay I can be fast all the time" thought process? It's like the designers thought "hey let's have instant death all across the board! YAAAY!" And that's the least of its problems. The soundtrack sucks too.

I agree with every word you've written! Sonic Rush wasn't a great sonic game, in fact, it was very disappointing. First off the level designs were just completely retarded, there are the random bottomless pits like you mentioned, which ruins the fun...Sonic Rush features more cheap deaths than any other 2D Sonic game I've ever played. Second the game was pretty difficult and rather annoying in some parts, i also didn't like the enemy placements on the stages. The visuals imo weren't as good..

Also, i hated most of the tracks in the game. Some tracks were rather annoying to listen to which forces me to turn off my volume on my DS. The tracks were also unfitting like for example Mirage road. This jet set radio style in my opinion doesn't go well with a sonic game, i admit though there were a few catchy songs in there and the man who composed it is talented , its just the songs are a bit off. Compare the Mirage Road track to Sonic CD's Quarts Quadrant. or any other classic sonic track!
