No, on the whole I am happier with exclusives on my PS3, this is the ONLY game I'm disappointed not to be able to get. Been a MH fan from day 1, HR6 MHF2 and HR5 MHF, play with a few friends, this looks fantastic, a tremendous series, wish it was taken out of Japan more than anything, want to play Frontier as well.

They dont have an official release date for MH3-tri yet. But during TGS08 Capcom did kinda drop the ball on MH3 in the U.S. while they said they would focus on the west until there are as many players there as in Japan. So MH3 will come stateside as well as Europe in the future, just not the near future.=)

this info came straight out of a US capcom CEO. So basically a year from next month. Maybe a few months early if were lucky. He said at the rate theyre going theyll have it done soon the only problem will be translating which takes multiple months. so expect it for december. Hope for july-october.

There is no way they'd make you pick a hunter, this is probably just for demo purposes, as they have a set list of monsters to hunt looking at the menu and they are pre-set hunters for the demo which are capable of hunting those monsters. Cause can you imagine brand new hunters with just a small sword and shield trying to take that bugger on? lol

thats how the other monster hunters were like...in MHF2 i got through areas in less then 3 sec. so it isnt much of a difference at all.

No, the Portable games had only 3 seconds if you were incredibly lucky, usually it was around 5 seconds, and while it doesen't sound that bad, it was slightly annoying.

No, it only says sometime next year and only for Japan. Not saying it won't be released in the states but certainly not in the near future.
