I'm kinda wondering about Finland's offensive scoring after Selanne's retirement. I know that aside from Olli Jokinen, they have good scoring depth in Tuomo Ruutu, Jussi Jokinen, Antti Miettinen, and Mikko Koivu but no big top line. How will Finland address the lack of top-line talent in 2014 after Selanne and, possibly, Saku Koivu's retirements?
Well we are waiting for Toni Rajala, Mikael Granlund and Teemu Pulkkinen. They're big now, see how they evolve.. Then there is couple younger guys who are looking good so far. Without them coming up as superstars we have pretty "balanced" team with lot of good but not big star players.. Lets see how Ville Leino and Janne Pesonen evolve next years. Valtteri Filppula is pretty good too but not sure will he become still bigger, maybe if he got some big role in some "smaller" team than detroit..
