It's also nature for war to occur. Not just human nature but most animals (If not all in some form or another) Even the most miniscul animals do it they same as us. Hell even ants wage war on other colonies and even take POW's like we do.

When I think about war, I think about the kids it takes to rope into the fascists dirty work since no sensible adult would be so easily persuaded.

WW2 was unavoidable. Messes like Iraq are propaganda to mask business investments. Protecting us? I don't subscribe to that newsletter. If a foreign army set foot on this soil, you can bet your ass the politicians took down our defenses and let them in.
