I do agree there are people out there that can play better than them; however, you do have to realize that if it wasn't for them, bands wouldn't be playing songs from them, and maybe, these bands wouldn't be here playing. It is easy to cover a song than creating a song; creating a song is the hardest part of being a musician. However, when it comes down to originality and creativity, bands like FNM, Primus, The Melvins will blow any bands from the past, present, and future.

I know that alot of people will disagree with my statement, but when I say past, I mean bands such as The Melvins, FNM, Primus (very few bands) can blow away any bands from the past such as Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Pink Floyd, etc. This is coming from someone who grew up on these bands, but people(like myself) need to put their preference aside and analyze the true facts. I don't think there will ever be bands that are more original than FNM, Melvins, Primus.
