I saw the comment that she just doesn't age. Try Sergio Mendes newer venture (talk about a guy that reinvents himself continually) in "Encanto" Lani and Herb are excellent at Track One, even as a duet growing older gracefully.

I think, she sand a song called Come on in out of the rain, back around 1990? But Lani is defintly worth pickin up a cd or wo! Thanks for loading this. @MrTopgearguy1 I recommend that you buy her two last CDs recorded very recently together with her husband the trumpetist Herb Alpert titled "Anything Goes" (2009) and "I feel You" (2011). There is also an out-of-print CD from 1998 titled "Brasil Nativo". I hope this helps.

Ahh, I finally found this song. For years i searched for the title & artist of this song. I've asked so many people around me and they had no clue.

This song is very sentimental to me. I remember this song playing in the background when my mom told me she was splitting up with my dad & leaving the country. My dad was also leaving to be with another woman. They filed for marriage anullment & left myself, bro & sis as illegitimate kids in the care of my grandma.

Absolutely wonderful song. I heard it once only on the radio in 1980, fell in love with it there and then, and managed to record part of it onto cassette. Now thanks to you I can hear it in crystal clear stereo, and what a beautiful romantic video!

Sergio Mendes and Brasil 66 continue to be my favorite bossa nova band. I, too, didn't know the name Lani Hall but the voice was so lovely. When she married Herb Alpert, it seemed like it was destined to happen.
