I dont know where you got 300-600hp from since they have 430hp from the factory.

If the vehicle is tuned to run at a certain octane, using a higher rated fuel would not create a net increse in power. Actually to the contrary. However, if a higher rated fuel is used and the timing curves are adjusted correctly for this then indeed, more power is had.

I love the sound of that cam with the kooks headers but I'm wondering how it affects your power curve. Are you now making peak HP past 6,500 RPM? I actually have a black on black C6 as well that I'm looking to upgrade. I'm thinking I'll definitely go with the Kooks LT headers but I'm not sure about the cam at this point.I don't want to make peak HP past 6,500 RPM. I was thinking nitrous and headers might be the ultimate solution although that cam does sound seriously wicked.

Corvettes are made completely in America. The engine and components are handmade in Michigan, and shipped to Bowling Green, KY to be paired with the corresponding body before they roll out. C6 for 58,000, C6 GS for 66,000, Z06 for 78,000, ZR1 for 100,000.

@AKIman522 Lol I've been driving a manual since I was 16. You should learn what a clutch pedal return spring is. It has nothing to do with skill. Its a spring that is attached to the clutch pedal that helps the clutch pedal to return upwards. After a while the spring will lose lubrication and potentially snap. It's a $15 part. Some Corvette drivers don't bother replacing it when it breaks because they don't like the spring action.

Call me crazy but I hate the sound of a cammed motor at idle. It sounds like it's sick, dieing, and ready to call it quits. Sounds decent when revved though.

Nice....My oldest boy recently got back from a tour in Iraq and bought one just like this. I flew to NY and met him, then we cruised it from NY to Wa. State in about 5 days, stopping to see all the sights too. What a Blast!! Then we started in on the mods.

Yeah uhh, that's the difference between normally aspirated V8 muscle vs. turbo-chipped rice. Slap an "easy sized turbo with intercooler, boost controller, and fuel pump" on the Vette and see what get then.
There's no replacement for displacement.

lol! this vette stock could handle twin turbos at 800hp no prob... Lemme just throw this out there, Hennessey makes a 800hp twin turbo 415CID LS3 Camaro SS so that means this has thicker walls and can also handle 700hp stock on twin turbos hell maybe even 800hp
