silent hill 3 takes me back to 11th grade in year 2004 iam 24 now and remember those nights playing b4 school the next day.(surround sound windows open all lights off 9 o'clock at night.best times :)
Sitting here in the dark, with a beer, the rest of my housemates have gone to sleep, ambient music playing... I stare at the walls, wondering why are they bleeding. I stare at the paint chipping to reveal a metal grating behind it, with light pouring in from flickering flames. Sounds from the furnace of hell...... Yet it's so cold.... Another beer then I'm off to sleep, I'm being told to go to sleep. The voices are my friends.... aren't they?
I love the "Fog Dimension"... it's so... quiet... and... sad... You love it... but you wanna get out of there... and at the same time you know you will always be stuck in there...
It's peacefull... and harmful... I wish Silent Hill were real and I got stuck in the Fog Dimension... ):

@ernest671 Agreed totally. Plus, just read that he has been contacted about doing the music for the next Silent Hill Film, and that he is interested in doing it. All that has to happen at this point is the final phone call to seal the deal. In my opinion, doing Silent Hill without Akira is akin to doing the Star Wars films without John Williams' Orchestra.
i just had to walk home 3 km in darkness...no lights...no sounds...no nothing...i swear to god silent hill was all i had in my head...i kept thinking that in any moment i would hear the sirens and the walls would start to decay and monsters to appear...that was a freaky experience...:|
@ytoday1 i went home from a party i think..i live at the edge of the town...that week i was a total silent hill fanboy cause i just watched the movie and read a bunch of stuff about the lore in the series. i think..after i got home i started "inducing" the silent hill atmos with these songs and i guess that's when i wrote the comment...why did you have to know?
@6662Ashley yeah...well whenever i have to walk home at night..i'm usually drunk from a party and it's somewhere between 1 am and 6 am....oh and that night was by far the creepiest...it was so damn silent...cause usually there are dogs in my neighborhood....well..not that night :S
the first half of the movie was one if not the best adaptations of a video game to a a movie. And one of the worse 2nd halfs of a movie ive ever seen.............
This is my favorite track from the Silent Hill series. Though, I do like creeping distress from Shattered Memories. I did like silent Hill 3, but, I think Silent Hill 2 had the most developed thought out plot yet. I have to say though, All the soundtracks, no matter what the plot, were breathtaking. I will miss Lizzy and Akira on the Downpour OST. :\

I am absolutley terrified of silent hill...but whean i hear this song i feel a sence of hope and for some reason happines......thats whean i learned being brave isnt about being not scared its about being scared and facing your ultimate fears.
@SHMovieCritic That kind of startles me :P. I found silent hill VERY appealing and it felt like a quite safe place. Not in the general sense like "nothing could hurt you there", but in a psychological way it felt very safe, familiar, intriguing and desolated.
@Smonjirez I never thought of it that way i always thought the events of silent hill could actually happen not as in like monsters,witches,evil little girls or anything like that but maybe a celtic otherworld ruled by a devil like person or worse.

@ratatatandbooger it can be a real place in the confines of our minds, whos to say the characters of these games were not hallucinating the entire time, that the town just causes mass hallucinations, something along those lines. stuff like that happens in real life more often than you think
Someone please make an extension to this. Just like they did with "Laura playing the piano. Good music like these should be a heck of alot longer than 2:30

When the classic piano comes in, somehow I'm thinking about something romantic.
Yet on the other hand, it makes me feel delusion when the classic piano's lower tone begins. How can this soundtrack be so magical, more like extraordinary ?

This is rubbish, if you want atmospheric, then go to the master - Brian Eno, knocks this banal tinkling into a cocked hat. Suggest you take a listen to Another Green world or Before and after science, or alt try Fripp & Eno Morning star.

@josepunkthrashdude Shake that bear isn't CP, it's a video of a woman and a man hunting and then killing a bear and then fucking on top of it. Check out Tosh's blog to see a video where he explains some of the videos, it's hilarious. I just found it weird that I heard this song on the video.

Drug addicted,Claustrophobic,catastrophic,post apocalyptic. Waking up in a house that just finished being on fire while you where in it. parts of the house are still buring. you look outside it is a beautiful day buT no ones out there trying to help you you see children playing adults laughin. but your house is on fire? you walk outside right through the flames. extreme pain but no reaction. Outside is pitch black the only thing in existence is your buring house no outside or ground. SilentHill

Actually, that's Angela's Silent Hill right down to the very last detail. You simply ignored the bed is a lump of cancerous flesh which will assault you, penetrate and bring about the horrible memories of the past every time it is near you. And that bed... Is your father.
Your house is on fire, there is nothing beyond it and the thing that dwells in you home will harm you. Your only scape away from the pain is the occasional knife through your skin.

Painfully Remembering little by little. Where is safety? Where is sactuary, Where is Civilization? You Look Outside and see a glowing Light. You walk toward the glowing light. Something Grabs You. You then wake up and see a sign. "Welcome to silent Hill" How did i get here you wonder. Maybe This is my way out? PLease.
