Protectionism is hard at work. Stelco, a US company operating in Hamilton Ontario, conveniently closes shop temporarily to make darn well sure that the stimulus package in the US does not end up flowing money to Canada, because with a closed factory, it can't happen.
Stuff happening behind our backs, not even the newspapers are on top of it.
