Great Damage vision Damian, I'm a storm chaser (Jeff Higgins) from Gold Coast. I had filmed the destruction from Canungra and Mt Tamborine that day also. That storm later became The Gap storm. I remember commenting on structure that " I had a feeling it would drop a tornado" , well no reports of one. But winds to 175km/hr with some higher gusts through The Gap is insane. I have chased many severe storms but never seen one this bad going by videos on here. Glad you and ur sister came out ok!

Yeah everyone thought it was a tornado, but turned out to be a microburst (which i'm sure your already aware of :P). It was pretty bad, as a suburb though i think we were extremely lucky. Thanks :)

It was the only way to get back. We'd walked through the tree beforehand and made sure there were no powerlines, there was just one crossing the street (the one in the video). The power was off, but I know where you're comming from, it's pretty crazy lol
