  • At first I thought this was an anti natural rant, but after watching I laughed myself into a six pack!!! You're right, a year ago when I went natural, there were only multi racial 3 a girls talking about natural hair. I've seen lots of 4 triple z hair that give great tips for dry tightly coiled hair. I agree people are genetically predisposed to being skinny and growing hair and nails quickly. Funny stuff!!

  • i love you yes preach!!!

  • If ya'll think nappy, short, difficult to grow hair is a mess; try nappy, long and thick and damaged by relaxers and transitioning back to natural! Goood lawd!

  • i love being natural and i didnt do the big chop

  • lmbo

  • "5a hair" I ain't laughed so hard like this in a min. You know she tellin' the truth.

  • This is HILARIOUS!!! It don't GET no more REAL than this! (She's more real than the chic on Dave Chappelle who did the "When Keeping' It Real Goes Wrong" skits. Just plain hilarious! I suspect that she's from St. Louis the way she stresses them R's. For spiritual guidance: church and Bible Study classes/groups are better than YouTube videos. She should herself "Imma Need" because that's her favorite phrase. You/She should just type in

"How To Grow Black Hair" or something.

  • What about kimmaytube, haircrush, african export, or naptural85. Africanexport has very cottony type 4 hair and her natural hair is bra strap length. Kimmaytube started off with a legitimate 'big chop' and her hair is now past her waist.

  • This was tooooooooo funny... And True... I don't think you were attacking anyone, sometimes people focus on how the message is presented and miss the message entirely. You need a tv or radio show - hilarious.

  • LMAO, DKM!!!

  • this is the realest video on youtube by far

  • LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO....made my night!!

  • Thank You!!! LMBAO

  • LMBO...This (Beep) is graded on a curve. LMFreckingButtOff AND there is truth here. SO serious!!!! Your genetics is a BIG factor in your results.

  • LMBO...This (Beep) is graded on a curve. LMFreckingButtOff

  • OMG u are so funny! "Bitch u always had some hair"wit all dem damn baby hairs !!! Too funny!

  • LOL i loooooove it!! i hear ya girl :D :D

  • I need to take my hair back to school to get another grade cause i think it cheated!!!! LMBO!!! Hi-lar-i-ous!!!!!! This is literally the funniest video I've seen!!!

  • oh and haircrush and naptural85 the have 4 textured hair and

  • go watch kimmaytube....... she gives out pure facts on hair growth and doesn't bash ppl!

  • Lol

  • What I did 2 months ago was shaved my hair off, to start from scratch. You are so right about genetics and just looking at eyebrows to determine texture. NO ONE in my family had long hair except my grandma; but she never had a perm. She's 93 and still wash and press 5d hair, LOL, every week. I've learned that our hair is like a plant. Keep it watered, and watch it grow; as with any other living thing. Don't put a lot of products in your hair. I made some. My own, no youtubeish type stuff.

  • OMG!!!!!! I looooove your video! Rotflmbao! I TOTALLY agree with you. You're a REALIST; so am I. Now, I went natural 11/22/11, and like you said, I was NEVER able to relate to anyone. I never had the hanging ponytails as a child and my hair never grew long as an adult so I kept it cut short. The thing I've learned is going natural is a personal journey. See, as a child, I got my hair pressed, then a curl, then a relaxer as a freshman. Kept the relaxer until 2 months ago.

  • Please never delete this video. Every time I see it, it makes me cry with laughter. It lifts my spirits. Please keep it forever!

  • ...wow.. this may help you... @BeautifulBrwnBabyDol

  • ...wow.. may help you... @BeautifulBrwnBabyDol

  • lmfaoo!!

  • Haaaaaaaa I love it. So true

  • I've got Grace Jones Jesus Christ wooly hair with a lot of chemical damage and it grows same way but the youtube videos on afro hair are excellent. I've learnt so much from watching them.

  • lol luv your video

  • Hey love your vids!!! i know this vid is pretty old but if your still looking you might wanna check out "Kinksgalore black sheep of the natural hair community"

You might have heard of her she was actually the one who linked me to you haha~

  • I have the same problem my hair is extra thick breaks Combs and grows in a puff before it grows long. Hit me up

  • Omg i kno this video old but im ova here kmsl..i felt the same way when i 1st started watching yt 4 my hair

  • stand on the moon with some rain water KMSLLLLL :-P

  • LMAO U TOO REAL FOR EM!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I AGREE! MY HAIR IS NAPPY AND I DONT SEE MANY VIDS WITH MY TEXTURE THAT GOT LONG ASS HAIR FROM GROWING OUT A FADE.......

  • You real and funny

  • you would like mstanish1. moisturize with water, seal with oils, protect with weaves and braids that arent too tight, detangle gently, eat right, and drink water. Thats really all you need to know. length is all about retaining it by preventing breakage. good luck girl. you had me rollin! straight about to sub.

  • This was funny an oh so true.

  • I laughed when I saw this, but I was crying inside. This is so TRUE... I've literally just started my hair journey, and am encouraged by all the YT transitioners and naturalists out there, but I have noticed that not too many seem to have started from a place of historically VERY short, 4b/4c, brush break-breaking hair (like mine). I WANT to believe that if I follow an appropriate hair regime, I'll get there: we'll see. Great video: not QUITE how'd I say it, but on point.

  • lol

  • this is a funny video but i totally understand where she is coming from...when i decdied to go natural and i went on youtube some of the videos i was seeing were of mostly of people with hair textures that were not like mine my hair is a mixutre of 4b and 4a so finding videos that cater to all black people's hair types is hard because we r all unique and our hair will be different textures or grow at different lengths

  • Well, you need to see my daughter. She has eczema and no emollient in her skin, which is hard for her to grow hair. Through Holistics and using ARZA products, using no chemicals, her hair grow. "BOOM'!

  • Too funny.

  • lol i first saw this on wshh

  • You know what... I feel you 100% on what you sayin...

  • "show me some sealy from the color purple hair.. some brittle ass hair" LMAOO

  • Omggggg , I crying how bad this is funny.

  • this shit right here lol lmaoooo love this video.. so true..

  • \She's funny. I'm natural not mad @ her

  • I have to say, this lady brings me life when I see her videos. I could be having a bad day and just tune in and burst out laughing. . .I'm sorry, it may be wrong but I do not want her to stop.

  • lol true

  • Too damn funny but so true I'm asking the thing I wanna see some regular dark skinned people

  • BOL!!!! RAISIN TITTIES!!!!

  • lml shawty said 4D- hair.... i love it :-)

  • Also Himay...

Yes some genetic designs are suppose to be but over-eating you shouldn't expect to be smaller in size or proportioned properly.

Excercising at least 4 times a week and eating more nutritiously is a known fact for enhancing one mind...body and spirit.

It will help maintain a healthy natural hair growth as well.

Once again the website is Going Natural.com

  • Himay you are hysterical...yes I am a mix chick but I have a remedy my hair will wave with water and straighten with heat.

None the less I have a remedy for you log on to Going Natural.com

There are other women who can give you a few initial pointers about your hair texture.

Genetics and hormones do play a part but you will need to alter certain habits omit weaving...harsh chemicals like dyes and perms.

Have your hair trimmed every 4 months...shampoo and condition 3 times a week also...

  • now im done for my natural hair girls and i realize this is old but this jointttt made me laugh soooo muchhhh! hahahahhahahha!!!!!!!!!! #nappy hair can do it to tho himay10nence trust me takes alot of keeping though actually grows better then permed hair

  • I have problems with my hair growing and after i stopped putting relaxers in it my hair it grew some but its hasnt grown super long though. But i cant figure out what to do with it cause it stays so dry

  • lol...I like u! I recently went natural and all the vids I see are just as u say they are. When u do find the vid u are lookn for plz let me know...lol

  • Made my day!!! LMAO

  • LMAO!!! LUV this vid!!!!!! ROF!!! Just deceided to go natural and This said all the things I've been thinking while doing my YT research! This right here mad my day! *tear* laughin so hard!

  • THANK YOU AGAIN! I'm so tired of seeing all these women on youtube with 3c/4a type hair. Not that I have anything against them, Im just not impressed because the majority of them had long hair before they big chopped. I need to see people with hair like mines too. 4c, 4z wateva. My hair has NEVER been long. EVER. This made me laugh so hard because I swear i thought i was the only one who felt this way lol.

  • "You can put squirrel piss in your hair, and it's just gonna grow..." LMAO I can honestly say you are one of the most authentic people on youtube...

  • llamf!!!!!!!! i love your channel already!!!

  • I think yall don't understand what shes saying. She's not bashing natural hair she's saying it doesn't make since for girls of mixed ethnicities to claim they know how to grow 100% afro textured black hair. Most of the videos on youtube are of mixed women one of some cuban or dominican lady who was bashing black women saying they're ignorant for thinking their hair can't grow when she is naturally black and spanish. go to the kinky curly website who is front and center? not someone with kinks..

  • @Xtrakoolness What does that even mean? So basically people who are different ethnicities can't say anything about Afro hair? What is Afro hair? LMAO. That's some bs. Not all people have the same hair. I've seen mixed girls have hair tighter than mine, and I'm a 4a. My sister is 4a/4b and she's got long hair. Not mixed in the traditional sense. Stop with the fuckery.

  • LOL

  • girl you a trip. You just have to exhale and go get a wiggie! But no, too much information will frustrate the hell outta you...

  • LMFAO!!!!!!! Right!

  • @HIMAY10NENCE you are so hilarious....i agree cuz um talkin vitamins, using all types of grow oils and eveything and i got some new growth from my transition and it want lay down to save my life.......and my hair only "likes" kinky twist so i under stand lol

  • Oh my goodness. I laughed so hard that I cried. LOL! That was brilliant! lol....as I moisturize my two-strand twists!

  • This was hilarious. I saved it to my favorites. I laughed so much, I cried. So many gems to repeat, 'Ima need some kunta kinte, kizzy, Celie, muthafuking bald spot bring lazarus forth from the dead type of hair, to make a believer outta me.'

Gone girl. I hear ya! lololol.

  • ''resurrected like Lazarus'' girl you're killing me!

  • i have to agree with africainedeesse -- when i first cut my hair off several years ago, all i really saw were women with 3 hair being interviewed or photographed or praised for being natural. even if you look on natural hair sites, on articles that talk about "healthy hair" you'll see 3 hair, and on articles about frustration, or "tips for healthy hair" you'll see someone with "out of control" 4 hair. there is still this weird disconnect between what's reality and what's "preferred."

  • LOL, I am a die-hard natural, and I didn't take this personally at all. I was laughing the entire time. We all just need to learn to laugh. You're being you, and you're frustrated, and you are speaking your truth. Ain't nothing wrong with that at all. Everyone has a right to express themselves, and we all have issues and struggles with our hair, especially when we are frustrated with it growing, dryness, and breakage. Keep on being you. Be blessed.

  • Every girl has aright to an opinion relaxed, or natural we girls have to stick together.I think both relaxed an natural hair is beautiful. And I applaud you for being so honest and brave to post your opinions about this.I defiantly feel your frustation but I'm going to try to hang in there a bit longer.Thank you hun.

  • i sooooo agree with you i love your videos keep it up i love , love , love your channel

  • I feel you.

  • people getting worked up but you are sooooooooooooooooooooo funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but u telling the truth lmao

  • cielt on da colour purple

  • LMFAO

  • For real ..lmao ..no indian in my family....your too funny..

  • SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Fuuuuunnnnnyyyyy!!!!

  • lmAO!! YO this is the realest video EVER!! i have 4b 4c hair and your right most hair growth is not due to any products its genetics. but i did notice that once i started doing different routines vs using different products and my hair started growing... again. meaning its up to YOU to actually USE the gifts you were given.

  • lmAO!! YO this is the realest video EVER!! i have 4b 4c hair and your right most hair growth is not due to any products its genetics. but i did notice that once i started doing different routines vs using different products and my hair started growing... again. meaning its up to YOU to actually USE the gifts you were given. When i first chopped off all of my hair i used to envy other ppl curl pattern then i was just like well freak that what can i d

  • U are correct! Truth and nothin but the truth! I am a hair stylist..genetics plays a big part in how your hair grow. Not only that medications effects the hair, stress, birthcontrol, product ect...what's goin on internally plays apart 2 but if u never ever had hair or is not the type 2 grow hair....u won't have none..so don't listen when ppl say girl this is the way God made u embrace it..no Ma'am! Enhance it! Natural hair is not for everybody!

  • Hahahahahahahaha!!! This video made my day!!!!

  • I don't see the point of this video, it's not our fault you don't know how to take care of your hair

  • you are so real, funny....I know where your coming from...all natural hair is beauty to me no matter the texture...you just have to care for it according to the texture....we need to stop this profiling crap! if you like it relaxed, weaved, natural thats your choice....its an individual preference...do what works for you

  • you are so real, funny....I know where your coming from...all natural hair is beauty to me no matter the texture...you just have to care for it according to the texture....we need to stop this profiling crap! if you like it relaxed, weaved, natural thats your choice....its an individual preference

  • LMFAO great vid love well i posted a video about the best way i grew mine back after so much damage yes i did kinda plug my business BUT the only reason i did that was because it actually works...i tried EVERYTHING vitamins gimicks n shit nothing worked...i got back to the basics with Braids and oil..and i LEFT IT ALONE...thats the secret no lie ! sub to me ill show you some more tips cause i actually study hair as a hobby

  • LMFAO !!!!!! baby you just killed me....okay well i was reluctant to say help Because i DO have naturally long hair BUT i do study black hair and im a natural and yes as a child my hair was down to my ass but it was THICK not coarse but THICK and super hard to manage i believe mine may be a 2 or 3 idk but i can tell you ladies this (Continued comment)

  • "Yo ass is Rapunzel you Puerto Rican or summin" ROFLMAO

  • I love it!!!

  • TOO REAL!!! HAHA

  • " ...resurrected like lazarus.." lol

  • love it!! lol Sad but true!!

  • LOL this is exactly why i was wearing weaves when i first went natural...i think we just have to keep it real moisturized and protected from heat and manipulation. we have to keep our hair twisted up and stay away from products wit vaseline and alcohol in them.

  • IF IT GETS U THAT UPSET WHY DO U WATCH THEM

  • Good Point!

  • lmaooooooo ! she doin the most but she i get what she tryna say.

  • lol! i see where u comin from doe cuz ik A LOT of ppl at skool how is jus like wut u sayin and it makes me mad 2

  • HAHAHAHA!!!! not no picture when u wuz 10! lol

  • "Some grace jones types hair" LOL. That's what I got too. I feel you on this one. Sick of the BS too. Thanks for speaking the truth. I feel like most people get on here to show off their 3a/3b hair, so yeah "Impress me with sum shit, or get the fuck outta her"

  • I'm natural and have 4c hair and I do understand what you're talking about. I don't think this is hating, I just think she is frustrated. Thats what I feel like too when I watch youtube vids about african american women with long hair, most of the time they are mixed (maybe not with parents of different etnicities but also like grand or grand grand parents). I'm 100% african, and 100% natural. Starte transitionning in November so it's been almost a year now and I'm only neck length!

  • ha!! 4d- hair!!! yess!!! i soo agree... im sick of seeing 3 and 4a hair... we need ta see some 5a 6a people with natural hair!!... i feel ya!!

  • Lmfao!!! You're rite on point!!!

  • "These damn mexicans" Omg.. Hahahaha!

  • OMG! I now got a 6 pack cracking up at this vid. Sorry 4 your dilemma sis, you'll work it out. Shout from da UK! Lmao.

  • I get what you are saying cause some people have genetics that allow them to grow there hair longer you just gotta get into a good regimen that it good for you lmao

  • I get what you are saying cause some people have genetics that allow them to grow there hair longer........you just gotta get into a good regimen that it good for you...lmao

  • LOL you gotta give it to her ant that many people on youtube wit that type of hair she talking about but all i can say is when i was a baby i had none im black but people think im mixed im thankfu lfor taking care of my hair! & me taking care of my hair not every thing people do is wright for everybodys hair you gotta find whats wright for your shelf! that gum gotta go

  • u are radical in your video but the truth is the truth...when i post up my hair journey (i gotta see where my hair is before i put it up), u will see that "lambs wool hair" and my hair wasnt breaking no combs, it was munchin on brushes! ya digg? my hair grow up and out like a bush, long story short, my hair was always chin length or a tad bit longer, never shoulder. got micros, my hair fell out with the micros, now im bald..aint that some !@*$&@! (i dont curse lol)

  • Can you do a one year retrospective on this video it was the talk of YT for a while and I inspired me to my YT hair videos :)

  • Lmao @ all the people getting cursed out from their empty ass comments! I feel the same way she does you rarely see women that never had long hair that grows long to their waist. It's mostly people that already had long hair. This video was very real and true. Also if you don't agree with her just click the little red box with the [x] . It's just that simple!

  • Exactly what i was thinkin!!!!! You are so real!so many of those gurls alredy had long hair, startin on they sholders! like wtf u tlkn bout yo hair grew so long, it was alredy long 2begin wit!! gurl i feel u, i wana c somebdy who have that kinky natural afro SHORT hair that grew really long! U inspirin me to start doin that cuz i got dat str8 nigro hair!

  • This video is the truth! I love my natural hair but growing your hair out is not easy. I've been natural for a year and I've got about three inches. I won't lie, no disrespect to to light skinned girls, but I do have a preference for seeing dark skinned girls with nappy hair growing it past their necks. That's also why I appreciate KimmayTube because she showed a picture of her hair as a child and it was not long.

  • toooo funny...im subscribing

  • People actually sit here and get offended...SIT DOWN. It's frustrating to have natural hair, you know it! It doesn't mean she doesn't love her hair or anything...shutup...focus on other things like people bleaching their damn skin. At least she's IS natural. Goodness.

  • ur ass is Rapunzel! hahaha

  • BOY!!!!! I was Rollin!

  • Ur Funny!

  • LMFAO !! true shit !! i just cut off the little bit of hair i had ima 4c. so ima see how my hair grow. my hair never been past my neck...lol so im tryna grow mine. but this true shit

  • I have real afro hair it's 4c and I am not mixed with anything. I cut it all of last October and now it is 5in. I retain lenght by not messing with it alot and putting it in mini box braids for months.

  • real shit!!

  • Thank you for telling the truth. Great video thank you for always keeping it real

  • longhairdon'tcare2011 has the longest hair on youtube and her sister's is just at her shoulders.

  • kimmaytube never had long hair until she began working on it......

  • honestly. i've always had long hair but it's growing slower now that I'm natural than when i was relaxed. LMAO. this vid was HILARIOUS! Nothin but the damn truth

  • LMfao THIs shit right Heree!

  • This video is hilarious. Its true for those who want tips for their type of hair and can't find tutorials for cute/managable styles with kinky and coarse hair. I'm a 4b and I understand; however... #LAWD there was way too much profanity in it for me. My head is spinning.

  • funny yet true at the same time. Just look at how sooooo many "natural products" (ie CD ) use models with type 2 or 3 hair and go on and on about their hair growth and curl definition just to leave 4 c sista thinking something is wrong with their hair. I understand your frustration and encourage you to join a fb group like natural hair so pointers on how to really help 4 c hair to shine and be the good hair that it is.

  • GIRL!!! I am all the way with you! you have serious point!

  • lololol color purple hair

  • Lol I hear ya. Thats why I look at Kimmaytube and Africa export. They actually have hair I can relate to.

  • This is Hilarious and true. I have real extreme course hair and the longest I grew it was above the shoulder...It's not waist length and I've been natural since 2006. It's just what it is. Courser dryer hair takes longer to grow and it's mainly because along the way there is a lot of breakage.

  • Yes!!!! *stands up and claps* This is what I am talking about. I'm tired of these long haired, curly bitches talking about how their hair has grown to their back in a year. Meanwhile back at the ranch they have been nature for ten years and they are showing some old as pictures. I want to see tightly curled women, making videos!!!!!! Hair only grows 6 to 12 inches a year with no breakage. Lying bitches

  • u r funny :)

  • lmfaooooooooooo ,

  • She's great. She is a lot of fun. I was dying in the beginning and the middle, lol. So funny.

  • this is still a classic to me. i come back from time to time when i need a good laugh. girl i appreciate you if nobody else does;-). best wishes at the conference this month.

  • Rapunzel!! I am hollering over here! LOL

  • Dear Himay10nence. My name should be brillo pad head. Does that tell you what my hair looks like? What I can say is ALL hair grows about half an inch a month. BUT the reason most people with hair with mine does bot get long is because we do things to break it off. I cannot comb my hair. God has not invented a comb wide enough to glide through my hair. My hair is to the middle of my back now because I wear it in 2 stranded twists. Before that I wore it in braids. I wash it and retwist.

  • Lmfao!!!!!!!!!!!! Love it...

  • You are off the chain but I do notice that most of the ladies on here have a nice texter of hair. But to me the 4bc hair people hair will have hair cuz its strong.

  • my hair is like grace jones from the color purple and I let the perm grow out of my head and it did not curl up like the ladies on you tube but after like 6 months i started watching you tube and i used some gel that i saw one of the girls had used and my hair started to curl and I was shocked as hell to see my nappy hair with a piece of a curl. It did not grow like some of the people on here but it did grow and actually curl and i didnt use all of them products that was listed.

  • I come back to this video periodically just to laugh. I'm over here screaming! Thanks again Keisha...

  • this had me rollin!!!

  • loool ur ass is Rapunzel ......smtimes i feel like that... just gta follow ppl who u can relate to

  • RIGHT!!!

  • lol must be from stl

  • lmao....you are hilarious! I love your videos!

  • LMMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sooooooo funny.

  • I am in the process of going natural and I think this video hilarious. Thanks for sharing, lmao.

  • 4 C minus hair!!! Haaaaaa!!!!

  • okay she might not be speaking properly, but she's speaking truth.

  • okay she mght not me speaking properly, but she's speaking truth. kimmaytube has good tutorials about hair and growing.

  • lmao, this video ! super hilarious !

  • I cant watch videos on my phone but just the stuff ive seen people comment on has me rotfl! On the real i feel your pain but ive seen some type 4 sistas to relate too like cynthiarf,africanexport,mstanish1

  • I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!! I can relate. I don't know how they grow their hair so long. I'm also tired of 3c's claiming they're 4c's....it's very misleading and discouraging.

  • wow.. i thought i would b offended when i saw this video but i agree 100%... lmbo!!!!!!!!!!!!! girl i hope u found the video for the sake of ALL 4b's lol

  • Putting this "genetically equipped hair" aside you should do some research on why our hair is the way it is and why all African-American/Black women struggle with it. Some peoples hair just grows faster and there texture can be softer...not "better". But honestly in order to feel 100% about yourself, your body, hair, arms, legs, butt, and nose you gotta find that SELF LOVE, before you/we will be able to accept anything about who you really are from head to toe...no matter what you look like.

  • I know im late but I just caught ur video. You should try to bring a small bottle of conditioner mixed with water to spritz throughout the day. That should really help.

  • TOO FUNNY!

  • i love how she says hair. My herrr.lolol

  • lmmfao lol lol lol lol lol lo lthis was funny. i do be thinking that same thing lol!

  • i understand exactly what she's talking about because I have 100% Nigger hair and I just see how going natural would help me out or make it grow

  • You're terrific. I have 3b hair but my hair doesnt grow fast, it's dry and it breaks a lot. I'm so tired of all these products that are supposed to do miracles for me as well. Only thing we can do is fine what we're most comfortable with because it is genetics.

  • omg thank you! i
