I like the show, but it just isn't realistic. In the real Army, there is strict socialization. More specifically, spouses of enlisted don't 'hang out' with officers' wives much less the wife of a general officer/base commander. I'm not sure, but would a more active watcher respond and let me know if Army Wives ever dealt with the reality that outside of Family Readiness Groups, there is no socialization among different ranks or is that the elephant in the room that everyone ignores.
