  • Get to the point man! This video is taking too long! Forget the sunset and get to it!

  • That's what I like about YouTube. The most amateurish videos could be posted by people who have nothing substantiative to say, and they say it in the most amateurish way. Everyone has a chance, even if they make fools out of themselves.

  • @perstaere Yes, America is now stuck in two wars, is $14 trillion in debt, the economy struggles along with little job growth; states are going bankrupt; millions of homes are in foreclosure; gasoline is nearing $4 a gallon.

  • @Ralphdraw3 That has nothing to do with someone making an amateurish video that puts viewers to sleep. The maker of the video should at least practice first. He sounds unprepared and therefore rambling on.

  • @friedie1jeff make your own video!!! do it professionally - higher standards than the usual Youtube video!!!

  • @perstaere to that list add people who based on some insubstantiative videos, then merrily jumpp and denounce all other videos and use the now old standard cliche'; "conspiracy theory" or, other buzz words/pharses that do a diservice. if you think that all that is posted on YouTube by these "amateurs" are all lies. your a bigger fool than those you think are declaring to be fools:)... i suspect your a professional because you are certainly gifted in manipulative semantics.. congratulations

  • @perstaere, Einstein Theory was a joke before it proven few years later.

  • The sad thing is you wonder how can people be so greedy and cruel that they'd let their own country fall for their own interests? I guess you could say that the lesson is that pride makes one blind to their own mistakes and what's going around you.

  • But how will the economies of those other places -- Asia; China, India; South America -- continue without oil? What are they doing to plan for the depletion of oil, which likely has already peaked globally right now or is right about to? Are they more ready for to transition away from mandatory growth (which is silly when Earth is not a TARDIS) than USA, and actually doing so? As USA sure ain't, at least it don't seem that way. And what happens when oil costs ten times as much as it does now?

  • The young Donald Rumsfield reminds me of the Columbo actor Robert Culp.

  • Are you talking about the Columbo TV series?

Wasn't that a great series? Remember the episode where Culp was the murderer - even as kid, I was glued to that program

  • He was the murderer three times. He also appeared as the murderer's father in one of the new episodes

  • You'll be working for India - 3 rupees a day and be use to being called chaiwalla. not only that, you'll spend all your weekends working in garbage landfills sorting through waste..whatever you have in your possession does not belong to you..THE GREAT DEPRESSION OF THE 21st Century for the WHITE MAN.. Your leaders will pay for their mistakes.

  • Rent seeking multinationals have turned globalism into a race to the bottom.

People need to wake up and realize that global trade isn't a zero sum game. Everyone can indeed lose.

Trade should be designed to aid all the nations involved without threatening thier national sovreignty.

The World Bank, IMF, WTO and even the concept of 'free trade' fail on these counts.

  • I agree that globalization has really dislocated the economic system here in the U.S. and destroyed the unions and lowered wages. Even China and Japan are having problems, not to mention Europe etc...

  • They were definitely arrogant and full of hubris. They made their era the era of corporate power and control. The market sets all values ,laws ,and morality. Their God was Milton Friedmen. Boy have these guys gone down as the biggest failures in American history. Them and the Banks and investment corporations what failures. The free market has proven to be the greed baron serfdom pig pen of the world.

  • Technology in just this country of the US alone will completely satisfy all our needs for the next century. Technology grows exponentially and we will be on all solar for in the next 20 years. Politicians are just puppets. There will not be another world power. There will be a One world government after the US, which is just a capitalism ideology.

  • The current, world-wide economic crisis is really messing with the "global system". I think governments are going to step in and demand some fairness and predictability from these big multinationals. In the U.S. so many people will be out of work that there will be a demand for change.

  • nice analysis

  • The sun sets. The sun rises again.

  • Not for Egypt, Greece, Rome, or Great Britain...

    at least no yet...

  • What they know about war is how to use it to kill militants. To them it doesn't matter if it's US militants or Iraqi militants or any militants. Your talk here is presuming industry will be maintained anywhere, Asia, South America, whereever... What I foresee is a global industrial collapse due industrialists intently maintaining the worlds industrial infrastructure as dependent on fossil fuels. The military might to enforce a new dark age is in it's final stages of preparation.

  • Globalization is the driving factor so Americas soveriegnty or patriotism or super power status is of little importance. The presidency of the United States has been handed over to a freshman Senator. The peak oil theory is a scam to bring about globalization. To bring the world together you can't have thriving economies and sustainable sovereign nations, so you cut off the oil and the credit. You can't have a one world government until you collapse the other

    500 govts.

  • The United States is running out of oil. We import about 60% of our oil needs. Most of the world's oil is in the Middle East, Asia, Russia and Canada etc...

Better to have power in the hands of a freshman Senate than to have power in the hands of someone like GWB who couldn't find the White House or the Congress in Washington DC when he became president.

BTW - Ron Paul lost in the primary - badly ...

  • There is plaenty enough oil in the lower 48 to supply the conuntry for centuries and hold a substantial reserve. The scarcity of oil is a fein for price fixing and polictical leverage. The reason for the apparent need for Middle East oil is to strong arm Europe out of a graet volume of that oil. In addition, powerful groups pad the invoices of cost for the consumer for associate groups that have shipping interests. It's kickbacks and price fixing that's crippling this nation not scarcity of oil.

  • Where is all this oil in the lower 48???

And why hasn't anybody been drilling for it? Especially when oil was over $100 a barrel?

Who exactly is fixing the price of oil? In the past, it was OPEC which fixed the price of oil.... who does it now?

  • North Dakota, Pennslyvania, Oklamhoma, Nevada, and many other states. There's no need to drill. the wells already exist. The oil companies just won't pump it because they are fixing the price. There isn't supposed to be monopolies in this country but they still exist. The government should do their job and break up these companies. Right now there is an insentive to hoard oil. It's illegal but not enforced. Consider the price fixing angle. Your logic is backwards. Consider.

  • You name the largest reserve of oil in Pennsylvania and the amount of oil therein and who owns the right the oil...

Name the largest reserve of oil in North Dakota and who owns the rights to it...

BTW: have you ever heard of an "oil depletion allowance"?

  • I know none of these details. Could you enlighten me? I'm into the bigger picture First off nobody should 'own' the oil rights. Oil in the ground should be owned by the government and the taxpayer compenstated for it's sale. If someone drills a well they can own the well and the pumping equipment and get paid for the oil delivered to the surface not for the oil itself. The companies need to be separated too, so a separate company pumps the oil from the company that sells it. Consider that.

  • I know of know large oil reserve in Pennsylvania - neither on state land or federal land or private land. That's why I asked you. How can you say we have plenty of oil in the lower 48 - I have seen no evidence of this.

  • Dig for it. Travel a bit. There is a lot of pumps and pipelines idle out there most of the time. They are run just enough to keep them from rusting. Check out a book called "The Energy Non-crisis". Try another book called "Black Gold Stranglehold." They will open your mind a bit.

Again our current government is not to blame. They are puppets carefully selected by powerful, anonymous groups. Focusing your work on the open government is objectivly mis-guided. Ruminate and re-calibrate.

  • I will look at those books at Amazon. I frankly don't believe that if there is oil under the ground in America and the Arabs are charging $100 barrel for oil, that no one would beginning pumping the stuff out and making a fortune - especially with the tax break the government give the oil companies.

  • Consider the depth and scope of the cabal in control today. The Saudis aren't the big players, they are just made to look that way.

Powerful people make money by not pumping oil. Study the nature of price fixing for more of an explanation.

    Read a bit and consider.

  • "Black Gold Stranglehold" is written by a rightwing, scumbag, propagandist named Jerome Corsi.

He is not a scientist, he is not a geologist, he is not in the oil industry, he is not an economist, he is not a journalist. He is a bullshit artist... REJECTED...

  • Just consider what has to say without worrying about other people have poisoned his character. Most people I know with degrees are indoctrinated puppets. Just give it a try.

  • Jerome Corsi is a hitman from the Rightwing. He lies when he has to. He is also associated with White Racists and he wrote a smear biography of Obama.

Corsi is a vile, disgusting man with an uninformed opinion... If I want an uniformed opinion I can go to my local bar and I can ask the drinking buddies their for more opinions.

  • Forget about him then. Don't consider the purpose of the smear against him. I completely disregard mainstrem polictics. It is set up as a general distraction. I have seen who really runs the world. They like to keep their low profile intact. As long as people are misdirected by puppets the prevailing agenda will keep rolling on.

I take value in considering all literature irrespective of the source. Sometimes those rightwing freaks betray themselves to truth. I like a paralactic context.

  • This what America gets by handing over its power to jews and blacks.

European-Americans face demographic oblivion by 2050, then the country will descend to the level of the third world.

'The end is not only the end of the freedom of the peoples oppressed by the jew, but also the end of this parasite upon the nations. After the death of his victim, the vampire himself perishes.'

  • You fella, Adolph Hitler, had his chance and blew it...

  • It's a gift to be simple. It's a gift to be free.

  • It's a gift to end up, where you ought be..

  • The end of the empire is not necessarily the end of the republic;Britain post empire, has survived

and would be more prosperous if it were not still bound up in US imperialism; What is called anti-americanism is actually anti-imperialism.

Post empire the US could be either a disintegrating mess or a at last,a genuine socila democracy; The choice is your american citizens!

  • I'm not concerned with our status on the world stage. What I am concerned with is the fact that if something isn't done and done quickly, we will no longer be the USA but owned by other countries, lock stock and barrel. Countries that do not share our history, values or way of life. Could we wake up one day and find our new government is Chinese?

  • We have two problems (at least):

    1) we don't have cheap oil (or any other cheap energy source)

    2) the manufacturing base of our economy has been destroyed - we can't even make decent automobiles anymore.

  • Answers:

    1) Cold Fusion and Zero Point energy

    2) Replace entertainment with education.

  • abouy automobiles, america never made decent cars that's why they are where they are:in deep shit

  • Two things America should do:

    1. Stop sucking up to the oil companies and invest massivly in alternative energy and research.

    2. Spreading democracy is fine but randomly invading contries isn't the way to go.

  • @qanazir i'm a muslim, but america should also stop having immigrants in their country... i know muslims, although some are liberal thinkers, like the younger generation, the older radical generation is still a big threat... and besides, it can start an identity crisis...

  • New American Penitentiary.

We build the walls of our own prison.
