  • More progress! I reckon the motor should settle down by itself (hopefully it has by now). I have an old Thorens TD160 with a ticking motor, which I must get around to stripping down at some point. Fortunately it's inaudible through the speakers, but still annoying during quiet passages of music! I'm really enjoying this eries of videos!

    Warm Regards, Neil.

  • Well Done Richard,

  • Hey, your voice reminds me of Michael Caine

  • @16mmDJ

Michael Caine - I will have to say his catch - " My Name is Michael Caine" - some say I sound very English.

    Warm regards

    Richard

  • Seems to be coming along nicely, Richard!

  • @Edisonfans19

  • Usually about 10 hours running before adding a drop of oil again to the upper and lower bearing is sufficient. If it isn't silenced after a week of real use in the normal listening room then take it apart to clean the spindle and bearings with a solvent and sponge, etc.

  • @TheBeebopper

    My thoughts entirely, my friend.

Thank you for the kind comments.

    Warm regards

    Richard
