This kid can shred... He is playing pretty basic stuff, (1 & 1.5 step string bends, scales & modes etc.) BUT he can properly string mute, with BOTH hands. That is the KEY when playing the electric guitar. I am working on my string muting everyday, & it sounds better & better, Do not under estimate string muting on the adjacent strings while playing. It'll make or break your performance, as seen here. Good Video!
