I'm from holland, and i loved almost al the british bands and popartist from the 80's.

We dutch also like english humor very much. We don't sync the voices, but use text translation, so

most of us understand english very well, and can even hear the difference between alot of dialects the english and even americans use. Also "london calling" with their englisch spoken french accent, and even crabtree who has to speak badly french in english. gut mourning, i was pissing your coffee

There's so many songs on youtube with the highest rated comment mentioning GTA that it's clear that Rockstar has done a great thing for our generation by introducing us to classics like this. Some people may call it depressing but at the end of the day I am pretty sure if they were to listen to the GTA OST they would find great music that they hadn't heard before. Their loss.

bushwacka I know it is not very trendy but The lead singer of this band (Paddy Macloon) believes in God (may not religion) and wrote a song about hoping god watches over his children, if he has the time that is. I know a lot of good people (loads of pop singers too) who have died by committing suicide. So I hope that your dad and many others are in good place. But I cant confirm that yet.
