There is no foreign influence in Americaan music. Latin music is African, until the Cubans heard jazz and learned to play jazz then they added horns to the african rhythms. American music shares no common links with any foreign music- african, european or anything else.

And yes, it's great that our music spreads across the globe. I'm also a great enjoyer of other culture's music- Senegalese, Hindu, my favorite composers are the Estonian master Arvo Part and that great Finn Sibelius. He was truly a man after my own heart. ;-)
