  • @Jaricko Did it. I bloody did it!

Man, that was the best idea I've ever been given by Youtube.

  • Just so everyone knows, indiscriminate murder is counterproductive because, as is referenced in the song, by virtue of killing everyone, those who know important information are dying before it's released.

"What I may never know is the place of the maze

In which I would have erased some fucking fairies from space

I neglected to ask before I killed the last dairy farmer who knew"

    Just saying! :3

  • Counter-productive? It's not! Play [PROTOTYPE] and you'll see!

But seriously, list of awesome things from Sweden: Ikea, Models, and Machinae Supremacy.

  • @HeartofSteak and thats it ^_^

  • I do not know why but this song makes me wish I could dance around to it in a top hat and monocle while waving around a cane.

  • @Jaricko God I laughed at your comment :D

  • @Jaricko ROFLMFAO

  • @Jaricko Oh good, I'm not the only one... :|

  • I read this song title in the back of my Overworld- CD-case!

  • @paddymoep Maybe because the tittle its true!

  • @RealMisterio3 I just wanted to say that the band got this song title from their own phrase, way before this album was even produced,

In the context of the newest album, this may be a reference to Yagami Light, and what he is doing wrong.

  • @paddymoep Its ok. I only wanted to say that the Title, "indiscrimate murder is coutner-producitve" its true. Because it is, isnt it? The indiscriminate muerder is counter-productive, in all ways :3

  • @RealMisterio3 Yes, but the claim is too general when taken for what it is.

There has to be a meaning to this phrase, other than what it's saying on the first look.

  • @paddymoep You think its about Yagami Light? Maybe what about... idk...indiscriminate murder in this world...China?... Israel? USA? No idea man :3

  • @RealMisterio3 Considering the song " World of Light " this might as well be possible, don't you think?

Light yagami is the epitome of indiscriminate murder.

  • @paddymoep but world of light sounds clean and soft, I dont know

  • @RealMisterio3 But does Shinigami sound light and soft?

  • @paddymoep I watch as he evolves. HE, hey, maybe you are right :3

  • @RealMisterio3 " World of Light " sounds really pretentious. It sounds great, like Light Yagami's theme song does.

But everyone should know that what yagami light was doing is insane.

  • @paddymoep Good point, what a nice vision you have

  • @RealMisterio3 For the time i read the manga and watched the anime, if found - on youtube mostly - the comments to be rather funny. Like " yeah if i got a death note i'd totally kill XYZ people "

or " light is totally right, i agree with him ".

I don't have a " L or Light " way of thinking, but one could say i took L's side when believing that "indiscriminate murder is counter-productive"..

Criminals aren't born criminal. Light is immature.

Killing every criminal doesn't eradicate crime at all.

  • @RealMisterio3 Unless your goal is to kill everyone or just have fun, and that's your version of fun. Sick, maybe, but not counter-productive. Productivity is relative to the goals of a being.

  • @Blithed Meh. With the older games it was productive. Like to see someone get through Contra on a pacifist run.

  • @paddymoep Actually, this song is about killing non-aggressive NPCs in open world video games. :)

  • @ikillx Said Robert, but what sense would it make to put two songs of this kind on an album?

A completely trivial matter can't be worth to write a song about. I see this as a song with more than one meaning. Really, come on. Can't you see it?

  • @paddymoep Two songs of what kind, exactly? About video games? MaSu are huge gamers, as you should know. They've made tons of gaming songs. :P

  • @paddymoep Besides, "I know that all these NPCs don't pose a threat to me" is in the lyrics.

  • @ikillx >more than one meaning

    Lrn2read

An NPC can easily be interpreted as anyone who can't fight back, ie. unarmed persons.

    Think Deer Dance from SOAD.

  • @paddymoep I know, but... They've said this is what the song is about. I wouldn't look for patterns and meanings where there aren't any.

  • @ikillx You're not the only one lurking on masu's forum.

Ever had an artist who completed gave you an analysis of each song? I don't think so.

  • @paddymoep No, my point is just that they might just have, you know, made a song about video games because they're like, gamers. Yeah, I know Shinigami and possibly World of Light is about anime, but that's as far as you're really getting.

  • @ikillx Like Hidden Sniper, maybe? What? Another one?

    >possibly world of light

    >possibly

If you like to take robert's postings serious, then what was that for? It's OBVIOUSLY about Death Note.

    But this isn't important now.

    You forgot The Wired.

And you may know this, but musicians like to leave the interpretation to the fans.

I think i'm doing just the right thing. Intended or not, or heavily implied - all that does not matter, for the main thought of this song remains true.

  • @paddymoep Like Hidden Sniper. Like Action Girl. Like Rocket Dragon. Like Nova Prospekt. Like Overworld.

  • @ikillx >implying action girl is about video games at all

    >implying rocket dragon, and everything else listed except hidden sniper is about video games at all

  • @paddymoep Action Girl is about female protagonists in video games, like Lara Croft etc. Nova Prospekt is about Half-Life 2.

  • @ikillx

Potentially Missing Link as well though due to a few lyrics i am not entirely certain.
