LOL - an opera on the curse of the telephone. Ironic that I like this: just as Lucy is distracted away by telephone calls from Ben's attempts at proposing, so this performance coming down my telephone connection is distracting me from other tasks. Menotti wrote this in 1947, somewhat before YouTube conceived of :-)
