  • I heard the singer Lovari make a similar speech like this on the steps of City Hall at the NJ LGBT Pride Parade in 2010.

  • Cory maybe does not know what's going on here...the only thing as a christian, I have my opinion as all you. The word of God says "God made the woman to the man and( woman) from the man" and so on....( read the bible if you believe in GOD ) So in my opinion as he says that he is a christian he has to defend this one ( support "The true Family " MAN + WOMAN = plan of God FAMILY. So I don't AGREE with this THE GAY MARRIAGE. Enough !!!!!!!

  • My dear ones I have received some privacy e-mails , about my opinion , I just want to say that I never said that Cory doesn't have values,or whatever you say, Cory is an awesome person, man that works with his mind, hands,a mayor that goes out on the streets,I have worked with him as volutary in that awesome City Newark-NJ,City that I have lived for almost 10 years from 2002 to 2011...City that I have fasted and prayed, as all christians have to do...

  • @sivaones that's the way you think and that's way I think. Cory has used the pulpit of God to speak who he is ( Jesus ) call himself christian and has those attitudes. That's why american people are falling down , they forgot their true God.

  • @danyelebastos Rubbish.

  • Very poetic!

  • Corey Booker for PRESIDENT (of course only AFTER Obama's second term)

  • He is going to be the president. Just you wait.

  • Excellent. A sane politician, and a Christian at that. @danyelabastos, and any other who wishes to force their religious views on other people, your comment is ignorant. Marriage pre dates religion. Unless you deny the true age of the earth and believe its only 6 thousand or so years old then you can't deny the institute of marriage as being secular and religious policy having no bounds over it. Enjoy and embrace your faith in the privacy of your own and do not impose in others civil rights.

  • @danyelebastos ever consider God put him where he is to spread this message of love and acceptance? instead of a message of intolerance or hate? maybe he's where he's at because what he believes in is what your/his/our/whoever's God thinks is good and right.

  • @danyelebastos God made Cory who he is,good for him for having strong values and beliefs unlike you. Its sad when you call yourself a christian, you can easily be called a bigot as well.

  • This man is the most intelligent and clear minded politician I have seen in decades. Newark is so lucky to have him!!!

  • 1:40 to 1:59 is just awesome. I wish Cory Booker were governor instead of that fool Chris Christie.

  • @windtornwings Christie is disgusting

  • I agree! Very well said!

  • excellent points. and they speak to the notion that two gay people getting married in no way changes or lessens the bond of any other straight couple getting married.

I would also expound on his points that this type of diversity - coupled with love rather than hate - in allowing gay marriage to happen, would actually strengthen our society as a whole. if "domestication" (marriage) is a fundamental tenet to straight society, how could that not also be the case in the gay community?
